    But the "circle" on your pauldron looks too regular and too rich in colour to me, reminds me of a stamp.

     I did it exactly as directed by a current SWAT member ;-)

    I'm told that the circle (often referred to as a coffee stain) was believed to be the remnants of a removed sticker from the motocross chest protector, therefore the circle was perfectly round. 

    I also used this image for reference which as you can see, appears perfectly regular

    thanks for that buddy. 

    A couple of questions... 

    for the weathering on the pauldron and pouches, could you point me in the direction of good reference pics before I attack them with the raw umber? :)

    the strapping system... will dummy screw heads suffice, or am I required to change my strapping system to the pins and screws?

    The pauldron is weathered dude. The photo was when I took it out of the packaging ;)

    a pristine shiny pauldron would look a tad out of place on a dirty trooper :D
