  1. On the plus side of aiming straight for SWAT, even though you have to go through PO deployment first, it will be a smaller step to get from PO to SWAT.

However, going for SWAT will take you longer and you don't want to get frustrated in the process.

Have you thought about buying the separate parts and putting it together yourself rather than buying it one kit to put together?

There are some uber-accurate parts sold as separates which would give you an awesome SWAT pack at the end of it all - and the satisfaction of accomplishing it?

This is weird. I just submitted my Police officer liaison, with pics from photobucket and it seems to work.

You have to copy manually the link now though.

I don't think everyone has been affected yet. Maybe it's being rolled out in phases.

I'm ok too for now, but I suspect it's only a matter of time so I'm moving to flikr anyway.

  3. This is a real pity, especially for those that want to search back on old threads for their build research!

    i wonder if they realise?

They either do, and are being greedy, or they don't and will work it out when they lose a stack of users.

looks like I'll be diggin out my Flickr account and using that from now on.

tbh The advertising pop-ups on photobucket annoyed the **** out of me anyway

  4. I've just velcro'd a leather phone case inside my chest plate.

it's slightly larger than I need for my phone, so I can easily drop it in and fish it back out again without taking armour off.

it also has a pocket to hold a couple of credit cards.

the bit I'd like to do is find somewhere for a bottle of water...

  5. My technique was "trial and error".

tried sand and hairspray, didn't really like it too much, but it got me through basic approval.

then tried acrylic paint (mix and match until I got a mix I liked) and a mixture of brushes and a damp towel.

    This came out much better.
