Good job on the weathering! Don't forget to add a pic showing that the lenses of your bucket are green.
Good luck with your review:salute:
Doh! Thanks man....!

Merry Christmas troopers!
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Hey man, welcome!
I don’t know how the trooperbay stuff is but my pauldron is from Trooper 1 and its really nice. Pouches are from blaster8266 which are also really nice. For the neckseal I went with Darman and for the belt Rob Kittel. As for boots I went with TK Boots(heard they weren’t selling them right now but it looks like they are according to their site). As for the undersuit I just bought that from amazon, it was about $30 for shirt and pants. Hope this helps...

Welcome to the sandbox, there are 2 types of stormtroopers.
There are Sandtroopers and TK’s who wish they were...
Haha

Thanks for all the suggestions! I ended up using E6000 to glue 2 black plastic strips to the back of the pouch. I think it solved the problem.

I made two metal strips and drilled them to the back of mine into the wood inserts. Keeps it from folding up like that.
That’s a good idea, I thought about backing the pouch with cardboard, might try your method instead.

Not sure if this will help your ammo pack from folding...do your rear-facing securing loops on the ammo pouch run diagonally?
I have a snap on my alice pack strap that secures the ammo pouch. Here is a photo of the snap on the alice strap. This is simply a piece of 1" nylon strapping, with a single snap, hand-sewn onto the alice pack strap. I have an Anovos kit, I didn't use their strapping, so I had some leftover. As you can see, this one has velcro (not used). Like a Jawa, I recycled
I can slide my alice pack strap through both ammo pack loops. Then I just use the snap that was sewn onto the alice pack strap to secure the top ammo pack loop.
As you can see, the loops on the ammo pack run diagonally, so my ammo pack can't fold. Are you utilizing both loops from your ammo pack? If you are only using one, it could cause that folding problem.
I initially did that based on your thread. The loops on the back of my pouches look bigger than yours so they’re not tight against the pack straps.

Try attaching it by a different method. The alice clips might be pulling it too snug to the strap length wise so the pouch is following the curve of the strap as it goes underneath your arm. I use two snaps I had leftover from my build.
Can you show me a photo when you get a chance? Thanks

Hey guys, this seems to be a chronic issue for me and it shouldn’t be. My canvas shoulder pouch is either getting partially stuck under my chest plate or folding over since it’s segmented. It’s attached to my pack strap by 2 Alice clips. Can’t seem to remedy this! Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

I actually bought it for my son for Christmas but opened it to read, I couldn’t wait. You guys won’t be disappointed!

Just thought I’d post and see if anyone else has bought this book. I’d recommend it, it covers everything. There are several pages on sandtroopers with a blurb about the backpacks and some good photos. The canteen and canisters are definitely a battleship grey in the pics. Here’s a cool photo I’d never seen before.Worth picking up!
It mentions the tie fighters were painted with a sea blue which has been since discontinued line of color from Pactra...Wonder if they used the same color for the backpacks...?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Unfortunately the links are broken but, it was worth reading anyway!

It should not effect SWAT. I've seen people get approved since it was needed for mobility. But I would ONLY cut if you need to.
My original goal was “Look sir, droids” but I wanted to do my own weathering. So I’m going for PO as soon as I get my handplates but I was curious just Incase I’m willing to re weather my kit.
I was just looking at your build thread on FISD. Thanks for your service...

Out of curiosity, how many of you guys cut a wedge out of the backs of your thighs/calves? Looking at stills from the movie it doesn't look like the sandtroopers had any cut outs from what I've seen. And does it effect SWAT at all? Thanks!

I ended up ordering them from Joseph, thanks!
