This method might take longer but you'll be able to build the pack that you want. Bear in mind, when you want to go SWAT build it accordingly to the specs of the trooper you want to emulate.
It adds up fast for sure!! I have a box of parts on the way , and more are needed. I try not to pay attention. I have a approved ESB Vader don't even get me rolling on cost lol when I catch up to that for my sandy.. I'll slow down

Can't say anything either way on either pack other than you get what you pay for. As far as "swat ready" that depends on what trooper you emulate and nothing is truly swat ready out of the box. I get the big pic but focus on PD build first, then work towards the swat of your choice just IMO

I am looking to purchase a sandtrooper backpack kit in about 2 weeks. Can I get some names of fellow troopers that I can purchase from and some prices please.

I had a 2+ year wip on the SLD, decimated by Photobucket. I can understand a fee for bandwidth but 400 a year is outrageous. It's like the bitcom worm extortion virus.. your pics are locked, don't worry they are safe .. if you pay a fee..

You're right...I'm not a petrolhead by nature so thanks for clarifying
That's not saying it would not work it looks really close

I don't think at that time they were using cabin filters or flat air filters, most if not all cars were carbureted and the filters circular in nature.

I was thinking of trying to conceal something like this to hold it closed https://goo.gl/images/mHhYmJ

What I'm planning on doing as of right now is to use the "admin pocket" from an old bag and rig to the inside of the tool box. That way I can put a small wallet, my phone, super glue and and some other emergency repair tools/pieces in there as well. Still haven't figured out how to keep it closed or secured yet but I'm working on it

So as we all know, storage for personnel effects are slim to none in TK and TD alike. I can't be the first to think of this but has anyone ever though of or actually used their pack as storage as well? My thought was using the "tool box" as a storage box as well. In this picture you can see that it looks almost like there's electrical tape keeping it closed .
What I came up with is finding some low profile style hinges and using e6000 to stick them on to the toolbox that I can make using foam core or foam board(to save on weight) and making it closeable. Put some netting or some kind of storage solution on the inside for a cell phone, wallet, etc. Any thoughts? When I get a drawing made up I'll post on this thread so it's a little easier to understand.

I was just thinking about this myself. I was thinking for sound options also. I was the pondering the top seed tray , hinges and a latch. Foam on the inside to hold wallet and cell and then cut a hole/vent to push sound through between the pack and back plate. I would love to see what you come up with. I'll be working on this as I build my swat pack.

Being new to both 501st and MEPD I have less than two cents to add, however I will say I love this direction. I have loved reading these posts and discussions over the last week, I have learned a lot. Being the next generation I could not be more proud of this detachment and it solidifies my choice in being a Sandy and in joining here. Change can be tough but change is always necessary. Without change and without evolution we risk becoming irrelevant. Thank you to the command staff of the FISD and MEPD for working together and making us the best we can be!

Following close starting mine soon. Tosche has reworked seed trays I believe. Mine will take a little longer need $$ for woodman radio

Hi,
Has anyone or know of anyone making shield Patches of the MEPD?

Gordonator was entertaining another large patch , I personally would love a shield patch also . Lots of new members coming almost every day. Perhaps if we could get enough interest we could get one off the ground.

Im with ya Lee! pack me up for swat too!! I know it's subjective, case by case and evolves but if we could get felice or scribbler to chime in on the cross support bars. I am almost at the point of starting a build and would hate to have the base be wrong
