Hi All-
I posted this on the UKG site already but I want to get as many opinions as possible before I commit my vinage tupperware to the spray booth.
Do I need to sand before painting? Should I prime it with PVA or would plastic primer be sufficient? Should I just give it a wipe with acetone and spray away?
Any and all suggestions welcomed!!

I second Mike's opinion. That's awful.
-
Looking good!
What did you use for the filter part?
-
The yellow is a bit canary-ish. The fullers should knock it back a little when I apply it.
-
This is my first attempt at weathering my bucket. It's Woodland Scenics applied witha natural sponge.
Any and all comments appreciated!

Wow Paul!
Amazing doesn't even start to describe that.
-
Thanks guys - just tried out some (probably should have done that before posting - doh!) and a tiny drop does cover quite a big area.
Watch this space for progress reports!

TM helmets are the biz! That would be my choice.
-
Just wondering if the 4oz bottles of Woodland Scenics listed in the BB weathering tutorial are enough to do one full suit, or would I be better off getting 2 bottles of each since it's my first go at weathering?
Thanks everybody

Perfect! Thank you Steve.
That's what I love about this forum - somebody ALWAYS has the answer you need.

No takers?
Ok, How about anybody that has the accurate mushroom caps on their pack - anybody willing to give me a quick rough measurement of the width across it?
-
If anyone has a spare mushroom cap laying around (preferably already trimmed and sanded) would you please measure the distance across the mouth for me? Thanks lads!

Sure was fast! Sometimes the US postal service amazes me. I've ordered stuff from within Ireland that didn't get here as fast!!!

Belt and straps arrived today - thanks Chazz!!!

It's really unfortunate that a few "bad eggs" have been allowed to spoil things for the rest of us. Seems like this sort of thing is happening more and more frequently.
It's equally unfortunate that there doesn't seem to be much we can do about it either.

Mine arrived today - it's an absolute piece of art!! If anybody is thinking of getting one I wholeheartedly recommend it!!!! Pics to follow

Absolutely filthy!!

Not sure if the FX comes in a sandy version, but you can probably modify it if it doesn't. If you ask around on here for specific parts like the sniper knee and 3 button ab detail, somebody who knows where to get one will probably respond to you - that's how it worked for me anyway. Good luck!
-
Put me in for 1 belt and one set of straps please

Looking good! Where did you find the cistern?

Rocko--
You might try quick setting cement mix if you can't get fuller's earth. I've tried a brand called Cementone that you can get in B&Q - it's the same powdery consistency and dusty gray as fuller's earth and looks nearly identical to it on the armour. Make sure it's the one without aggregate added unless you want to pebble-dash your suit! Not sure what the lime in it will do to the plastic long term (if anything --the stuff comes in a plastic bucket!!) but it seems a reasonable substitute and a lot easier to get.
My 2 credits anyway.

I'll go for the obvious -- Is that a BFG in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?

TD 4935--
I contacted AA and asked him to make mine without the greeblies--he was really helpful and even autographed my chest plate on the inside.
I've read that he puts the shin armor pieces together wrong--how would I know if mine is correct or not?
-
Pic is a bit dark and the armor is way too clean but it's a start!
And there are obvious changes (knee plate and that bucket needs some lenses!!) to be made but at least I'm making some progress now

Thanks guys, now I just need to see if I can find Fusion over here. So far all I've found is Plasti-Kote, and it's terrible.
