  1. I think it's the rigging of my shoulder pouch that is pulling on the elastic in this picture. I just have it on there till I get my pack to attach it too but I will shorten it up some more. In other words I did get the green light from my GML to start my application.

  2. Do you already know which trooper you are wanting to do? And im guessing your probably going for SWAT. Some onscreen troopers have certain features to their armor which really makes them standout.

  3. I did Velcro and so far so good but that magnet method sounds interesting good luck with your build it's looking awesome, the fun part is coming when you get to dirty that white plastic up:td:

  4. From what I understand the back side can be a little wider for bigger calves it's the front that you wanna try to keep as accurate as possible. But I'm also on my first build and am a newbie as well. So I don't think it will be a problem.

  5. I am going for SWAT with the famous "Move Along" trooper and he has 11 on the left and 12 on the right. I don't know if it matters because I've seen some with just 11 on both. Might depend on the armor.

I used packing tape just long enough to take the submission photos. I had a pack before my first troop though.

I was thinking about that or some of my left over black elastic, I'll fool around with it tonight and see, but I have a dirtyboy pack coming soon so I'm super excited.

Me either, speaking of which, yesterday was my 1 year anniversary in the 501st!

Well happy anniversary, but my Garrison leader said I need to have the correct ammo pouch configuration, I have all the pouches, but I was going to attach my shoulder pouch to my pack instead of to my armor. But if you guys have any tips on other ways to attach the pouch I'm open to suggestion.

Check out the sale section here. That's where most of us get them. Also, I recommend you dropping your biceps down a tad and raising your forearms up. You have a significant gap between the two pieces. I'm assuming you are tall and have long arms. The complete opposite of what I have going on.

I am fighting the height problem all the way through this project haha but thanks for the info:duim:

  9. Re weathered it to match the "Move Along" trooper. Thanks SCRIBBLER for pointing that out, with a baby due in a few weeks and trying to get armor done has me busy. Let me know how this looks. Still gonna go over the rest to dull the shiny white out.

  10. Hello sandies,

I am in the stages of getting my first set of armor done and hopefully joining the legion soon. I am new at all this and just wanna get some feedback on my helmet and progress. I finally figured out how to upload photos oh here so it's a start haha. My end goal is SWAT so all comments are welcome.

    Thank you

    Joshua

  11. Hey guys I just ordered my AP armor and was wondering if there are any tips or tricks I should know when assembling it. For example where are some tricky spots that need trimming or extra attention.

This is my first build so really any information is helpful. I've been doing my research but anything will help.

    Thanks guy,

    Joshua
