OK. so today was another good one, finished the weathering, and first fitting as a sandy and the new elastic bridges.. Fits so much better in the chest.. here is a few updates... Still have some adjustments to make and 2 return edges to remove but its great..
-
The CRL is kinda iffy on the exact locations too.. but does state a standard location to be on left shoulder...

Ammo Pouches
For 501st approval:- All Sandtrooper armor parts are weathered.
- See the Sandtrooper weathering page for more information.
- Black in color, made of canvas, leather or leather-like German MP-40 style ammo pouches.
- The standard configuration calls for a minimum of two pouches:
- one pouch on the left shoulder and one on the right hip.
- A third worn on the opposite hip is allowed.
- Option: If choosing to replicate a screen used configuration of equipment, the number of pouches may be altered.
- See the MEPD SWAT page for more details.
- Note: Screen used configurations also include specific color Pauldrons and individual backpacks styles.
- All Sandtrooper armor parts are weathered.

Afternoon All,
A few quick questions as im nearing completion of my TK-TD conversion. My plan is to go for basic approval from the get go, then get a pack for Officer, then ditch the pack for Swat Captain docking bay 94 (tuck and roll).
Does my Mp40 need to be on my left shoulder for basic & officer ? as im shooting for tuck and roll its on my left hip with my small spanish is on my right hip.
Thanks,
Chris

Starting to come together nicely!
thanks getting closer to being done, again. lol hope to be building the elastic bridge this week (all other strapping is complete), waiting on a few small things like pouch and 3 button strip..
-
ok here are some updates, changed the weathering a bit, got alot done today...
-
Heads up AP doesn't offer the diamond knee and the 3 button strip i had to source them here after converting.. Marks New AP is great kit out of the box love the armor, but if you got a chest size of 47+ go RT-MOD, i will be doing a TK via RT in the near future..
-
Made some changes to the weathering and started on the thighs today...
YA YA diamond knee, and 3 button ab strip on the way...
-
ive decided to redo the chest and back as they dont match very well. then a 1:3 mix of burn umber and water with a bright brush and ill be onto the legs... Helmet is last as its the least weathered...
