Finished weathering my armor case tonight. Just needs some clear coat and I'm calling it done.

Sorry for the lack of updates. Crazy busy with Halloween, work, etc.
Got the forearms all done...
Got the belt done. Made my own canvas belt. Pretty straightforward.
Hooks for the bicep straps...
Started weathering the pouches...
Hand plates all glued up...
And first test fit with everything on. This is the point where I said to myself "Holy crap I'm really doing this!" Still need to attach my small pouch to the right side as well.

Thx Jason!

Here's the side by side of the Rust-oleum battleship grey in light and in the shade:
So this is Rustoleum and not the Krylon from Amazon you mentioned above?

Got the brackets on. Moving on to closing up the arm and leg parts next

Way to go Jay!

Good god, that's a lot of clamps. I used half the amount per section.
I know. I over engineer everything. Bad habit.

Started e6000ing the inside strips on everything. I'm doing inside and outside strips. Didn't get the biceps yet. Ran out of clamps and magnets

Awesome!
Thx! Not the most fun thing I've ever done. I was pretty nervous about messing it up. I can't lie.

I've seen some guys double up the center ACH pad. I use a construction hat liner. All my electronics kind of require it plus I find it much cooler as air circulates a bit easier. If I'm not mistaken, when you separate these pieces there should be a bit of material built in for the return. I don't have WTF but I cut a lot of the material off as I never intended to put in the original strapping method screws. I am going to attempt to use appoxie sculpt to recreate those returns. If I can't I'll be hitting up a vendor for new parts.
I think I've gotten it pretty much dialed in last night. I added the chinstrap and moved some pads around and I think it's pretty good now. I'll have to try wearing it for a more extended period of time to really see. If not the hard hat liner is my next option for sure.

Awesome job!

Separate! Unless you're doing a SE sandtrooper that's based on ROTJ armor. ANH TK/TDs have them separated.
Ughhh. I was wondering since the belt hides that area if it would matter.
I guess if I have to separate them I'll need to create the return edges to attach the brackets. Sounds scary...
