  1. TD-5766, Todd Lacey, reporting in.

We had a great time at "Rebel Base and Comics" for free comic book day on May 3rd.

The owner, Troy, supplied food and drink for the troops and helped us raise $111.00 for "Make A Wish". Both kids and adults went crazy when they saw us. We also visited the local "Starbucks"and one of our local Irish pubs "Danny's Too" looking for droids. I was stunned when a nice little lady, probably in her late sixties actually asked me "Aren't you a Sandtrooper fromTatooine?" At that point I gave her a BIG hug.

Here are some pictures from the event.

  2. I am so sorry for the long wait on the deployment. As soon as I get new recruits through the door and trained up I am sending them off to Iraq or Afghanistan. We are under a lot of pressure at the moment in the Regiment because of this.

As soon as the dust settles I will crack on with my "IN" tray...

Once again I am so sorry.

Mike, if you want to recruit a new deployment officer I'm OK with that.

Don't be sorry bro. I'm sure our new recruits here understand the importance of what you are doing....very important indeed.

  3. Last week the Carolina Garrison had a photo shoot. I thought I'd share some photos with you all.

  4. First off I want to say that my prayers and thoughts are with you and your father.

We lost both my sister In-Law and my mother In-Law to the dreadful disease. My wife also had her thyroids removed do to cancer two years ago. We had lots of support from the Garrison and other members in the 501st. I'm very thankful that my wife has been clean for the past two years.

Trooping for your dad is a very noble thing. I not only troop because we look good in armor but for my wife and I will Troop for your dad as well.

We are here for you brother.

  5. Thanks for the compliments.

Resin Parts: Range Finder, Accessory Mount Rail, Setting Adjust,Gas Cartridge Cap,Folding Stock, Ammo Cartridge,Cooling Fins and Muzzel end.

The barrel, trigger, trigger guard and grip are PVC, Wood & Metal.

I used good old Flat Black Enamel spray and a touch of clear flat varnish spray to protect the paint. I also used Citadel Gun Metal paint to give it that used look.

  6. Well, with the talent we've got on this board, with a few mods we can make anything look good. That's the fun of it.

Heck, I figure half the work is done, now let our imagination take care of the rest. hehe

If it doesn't work out it will be a nice add on to my buckets anywho.

"Can't ever have enough Stormtrooper stuff."
