Did the guys with the pack make it into the movie? I recall one of the guys on guard duty wearing the ammo rig..but unless its in the vackground, I can't remember seeing backpacks. It's pretty standard practice to require pics for these programs. I do one for Clones,Sith,TIE and Jedi over on the RL forum. I should have been a double Ace with JRS by now..but we sometimes dont have a dedicated photographer or whatever. Its a shame..but is what it is. When we do Hospital troops, we make a point of always trying to get a team pic taken before we head out. Even if its just on someones phone. Guess I better start recording my Sandie troops now as well! Is there a time limit on ones we can count? I guess it's possible..as with the abplate buttons too..that they were originally painted..but after a couple decades in storage the paint has simply deteriorated. Could be a possibility that some SETD's have white soles,some black, some painted ab buttons and some not..all due to the differing rate of deterioration over the years on the different suits. CRL looks good..one wee point regarding the boots though. ROTJ TKs had a white sole as opposed to the black ones of the earlier film versions. I don't know if we get a good look at the SETD's boots onscreen..but it stands to reason they'd have used the same ones. Sent from my R4 unit using Tapatalk

I do have a ROTJ TK from CFO..and a few years back did intend on making it into a SETD once it had picked up a few dings and scuffs from hard trooping. However since then...I kinda ended up making a 'proper' Sandie anyways. I don't know if I'd proceed with the conversion now sorry,..I just think it'd be a tad redundant having 2 TD's. I dont often comment here..but lurk a lot! I STRONGLY disagree with allowing ANH style armour for this build..even as Lvl 1. It should be ROTJ style..or nothing.There are 2 very reliable vendors now for ROTJ armour( more vendors than some armours have!)..difficulty in aquiring the correct kit is not an issue. At the most lenient..modded ANH style armour could be allowed for Lvl 1..but must have the fat black frown...clam handplates..stickers for lid details..torso armour trim...etc. If you are just gonna use ANH armour..why even bother creating a SE CRL? I also think E-11 and black pauldron should be the only ones accepted. For all ontents and purposes..no other SE Sandie bariant exists. Sent from my R4 unit using Tapatalk

I don't think the Det name is really an issue. The "Sith Lord Detachment" homes Kylo- a non-Sith, "The Flagship Eclipse" isn't limited to characters associated with the ship, "Imperial Gunnery Corp" is developing the R1 Ground Crew CRL. The 'I' in FISD stands for "Imperial"..yet they happily house the First Order. Heck, even our sister group the Rebel Legion has non-Rebellion characters in its ranks- notably Old Republic and Resistance. It's really not a big deal. Sent from my R4 unit using Tapatalk

Hey folks. Haven't started on my armour yet, but I have literally everything needed to get out hunting for some droids(minus the motivation to get stuck in at the moment!) having built a TK before to EIB standards, I am not worried so much about the assembly,..but weathering is an unknown quantity for me-most my other cossies I try to keep shiny shiny. So,..I have been practising on my blasters before commiting to the white plastic. Using raw umber,water, kithen roll and an old t shirt. Any and all opinions/suggestions welcome:

LOL!! When I have been trooping as Snoot, I have been known to have been called Gonzo, an evil Clanger(dunno how well known they are outside the UK!) and the Anteater from the Pink Panther cartoon. Considering he was very nearly responsible for saving the Deathstar and wiping out the Rebellion, poor Garindan just doesn't get the credit he deserves!
