I'll get pics and post them some other time as I can't right now... I am 6' but with short legs (and long neck - lol well disproportioned)... I'll think about cutting cod giving me an extra inch but what I would want to know now, is as there is nothing in the CRL other than "little to no overlap on the kidney armor" if I submitted with this gap, can it be accepted or on what grounds would it not be accepted based on the CRL? I can lengthen the straps but how much under suit is allowed to be visible (esp when I wear the Pauldron...
So, to do... Side pic, lengthen scrap to 6", new pic with Pauldron on for better definition...
I would cut the cod as a LAST option. Post the side/arms up pics and we'll work from there. As a GML, I personally wouldn't pass it with a gap that big. As others said, the butt plate looks too low, and the cod really is "right up in there" normally, just like an athletic cup, I suppose.

Are you SURE the kidney and ab are aligned correctly? On my kit, I wear the belt pretty much on the bottom of the kidney plate--yours is about the same difference up from that as your gap is wide. Can you post a side view picture?

Looks great.
Was this supposed to get rid of the phishing warning?
My question also....it didn't on my machine. Tried clearing cache, etc. still there.

Those are all real pouches right?
Except the MP40s... Those are from Imperial Outfitters right?
I still need to find a real medium Spanish pouch.
Been looking for about 4 years now, and no luck.
Terry had one for sale 4-5 years ago, I passed on it, and then when I changed my mind, it was already sold.
Too bad...
Haven't seen one ever since.
Someday...
Just like the radio.
LOL...
Saludos
What pouch is this?
Trooperbay has them, but calls them "Small Spanish" pouches....
-
I just used CA glue. Almost 2 years and no separation issues.
-
What did u all do to dye the pouch???
Good ol' black spray paint, in my case.
-
Heh, I'm a dork. I did the exact same loop, only I have been hanging it off the shoulder bell strap (which pulls it down noticeably). Never even thought about hanging it there!
-
I got mine from "fabricators" (the two-pack canvas ones, didn't use the one without the small pouch). They have several listings for the same style but different colors. Browse what they have. I went with 2 small spanish pouches I got from blaster8266.

I've only worn the custom one once, but I kind of prefer the velcro because I could make it a little tighter. I can't speak for screen accuracy...they look the same to me. Others will have to add to that.
-
I have a white Trooperbay one and a custom "dewback" one from Trooper1. The only difference I have noticed really is that Trooper1 has an elastic band to go around your arm, while the Trooperbay one uses two straps that velcro together.
-
I have done it two ways, but a third way that one of my garrison mates uses is a better option.
1. I found some full length velcro wrap-strap. I looped it through the pouch loops and wore it around my shoulder. The problem with that was the loop would roll around and the pouch would drop out of position.
2. I thought myself clever and used velcro right to my chest--industrial adhesive type. That worked great until the heat loosened up the adhesive.
3. A buddy in the DSG showed me what he does: A small velcro loop through the pouch loop and around the shoulder bell strap. It seems to stay in place without pulling down on the shoulder bell. EDIT: Just like bdgr above said.

No Sandtrooper in the movie had a holster. Therefore, it is not allowed for approval at any level.
A backpack is not required to wear the shoulder pouch, although it makes it a lot easier to wear.

I have been getting this stuff at the top of the screen since before this latest SNAFU. Since the site came back online last week, but before the issues this week.

Nice choice! I was originally going to go up to SWAT with this trooper. I built my TD using the reference picture from the gallery, but as you have found, the shoulder pouch and pauldron are actually different. I'm happy with my build, but will most likely not go for SWAT as-is. Maybe one day I'll get the leather MP40 pouch and the seamless pauldron.

Yep, that's the one. I just grabbed the first pic I found that had the black, ribbed end piece. I'm off to order those, thanks Charlie!

Okay, rather than start a new thread, I'll just hijack my own.
Now I'm looking for a particular switch. I don't know if it's accurate, but I like a particular one for the radio switches. I used to see them on home stereo equipment back in the day, but finding a good source (one I trust) is kind of hard.

He's the guy I was referring to that hasn't posted in a while. I haven't PM'd him, I'll try that. Thanks.

I'm finally getting around to building my Dirty Boy backpack, and looking for the decals (in Aurebesh, preferably) for the radio.
The guy who used to sell them here hasn't posted in a bout a year, and the only other place I saw (smuggler's den), I can't order because the webstore won't accept the selection without choosing a language. Thing is, there is no way to do that, as far as I can tell.
Any other sources? I'd prefer not to hand letter them.
-
Can you elaborate? Do you screw through the cable?
-
Like I said, I even went so far as to contact the seller(S!) and they reassured me it matched the description....they didn't.
-
Don't even bother ordering from the internet....I was burned THREE TIMES, including TWICE when I called and explicitly asked if the item pictured was the item in stock. Each time (three different vendors), the pyramid ones showed up.

I just looked at that Bluetooth speaker, above, and you don't even need your phone because it has a mini-card in it that you can load the "music" to. Only $14 on Amazon right now, as well.
-
If I ever assemble my pack I plan to put it in the radio and use Magnets as part of the closure

What brother mean?
It just means he heard and understands your last message. Not sure how it translates to Polish. For example, when a airplane pilot receives an instruction from the control tower, he would respond "Copy" or "Copy that" to acknowledge he received and understood.
Back/Kidney gap
in Sandtrooper Armor

Much better. Your belt needs to come down in the back. You can bring the back plate up a bit so that it's more or less sitting on the kidney (I have about a 1/4 inch gap on mine). It looks like you need to shorten the shoulder straps. That will be about perfect.
