  1. A big warm hi to all This is my first ever attempt at building anything, my DIY skills have been compared to that of a Drunken Baboon. I don't really like DIY but have carried SW with me every day of my life after seeing the film so many years ago in a time far far away. I have been lucky enough to get myself a TD TrooperMaster kit, Paul has been no less than fantastic through the whole process inspiring me to enjoy the build and have fun. His support and offer of help during my journey has given this novice the confidence to give it a good go. Hopefully i will give this amazing armor the credit it deserves, i really would appreciate any input as the experience on the MEPD is mind blowing. Here is where i am.http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d134/millenium110/005_zpsbf92bcb3.jpg Upper Bodyhttp://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d134/millenium110/012_zps41a47156.jpg Lower Body http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d134/millenium110/002_zpsd87b1de8.jpg All limbs measured and cut evenly from both sides. http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d134/millenium110/019_zps429598de.jpg Biceps http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d134/millenium110/022_zps84c4b3a1.jpg Forearms http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d134/millenium110/024_zps82deb72b.jpg Thighs http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d134/millenium110/026_zps14282751.jpg Shins http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d134/millenium110/033_zpsfa92c411.jpg Shins side view http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d134/millenium110/001_zpsc7fc7e14.jpg Case to carry my kit http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d134/millenium110/010_zpsea16ffc9.jpg Undersuit : Neo Sport Dive Skin http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d134/millenium110/003_zps142a47ed.jpg Blaster : DBS Props http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d134/millenium110/001_zps9aee7d0e.jpg Blaster : DBS Props : To be modded and weathered http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d134/millenium110/006_zpsf2a6d2db.jpg Boots : TK http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d134/millenium110/007_zpsfd447349.jpg Belt : Rkittel http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d134/millenium110/006_zpscaa221c9.jpg Gloves : Karin http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d134/millenium110/035_zps92fb7605.jpg Shins opposite sidehttp://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d134/millenium110/014_zps506bfa2f.jpg Steve my dog wondering if there is anything for him in the magical brown box? Oh no Steve, that is mine, all mine !!!!! Mwaaaaah ha ha I am in the process of sourcing my Back Pack, Pouches and pouldron. I apologise as i obviously have not got the hang of posting things properly. Thank you for taking the time to look at my WIP, i look forward to eventually becoming a proud member of the 501st and MEPD to stand alongside some amazing individuals. I still have some trimming to do on the return edges but i would really appreciate opinions on the general fit? Many thanks in advance
  2. Hi Adam, The weathering generally looks great, really natural. I would lighten up any block patches, (Kidney and Butt and a little on the Back Plate but it is all a personal thing) and you would think you were experienced and accomplished never mind first time!!! Great Job
  3. Looks great Victor My TM armour will be here in the next couple of weeks, it will be my first build! Every time i see a pair of scissors i break out in a sweat What boots are you opting for and what rank?
  4. Hi Rob, If you look at TK300 Blastem tutorials on FISD or just google it there is a good snap system on there, . Hope that helps
  5. Nicely done Paul I'm just about to start my conversion of TK to TD, don't mind if i pick your brains do you? Ricky
  6. Thanks Steffen, i am starting a new build thread soon so i will post some photos then
  7. Hi all, hope this message finds you well, Could anyone give advise on modding a TK Ab-Plate into a TD Ab-Plate to a standard acceptable to become a MEPO, are there any tutorials available? Would it be better to buy a new TD specific Ab plate? Thanks in advance for your time and efforts Getting giddy about getting dirty Ricky
  8. Thanks Rob and Jay, feeling at home already Are there any idiot proof guides to posting photos on the forum? I went to school with a Tyrannosaurus Rex Thanks again Ricky
  9. Thanks Juan for your input and warm welcome, I am Inspired more than ever now i have seen your old FX kit and what is achieveable, respect to you sir. I am looking for some tuitional threads relevant to the FX armour so i can begin my build, i think once i take the first steps i will be off and running. I will post some photos once i start. Ricky
  10. Thanks Luis, I plan to get my bucket from Paul at TM, the FX Armor was a gift and is in really good condition so it would be a shame not to get down and dirty with it if it's possible!
  11. A big warm hi to all, my name is Ricky and i am brand new here. I can't wait to get started on my TD build, i have a set of FX Armour and wondered if this was still acceptable? I introduced myself a little while ago and i got no response so am feeling lost at the moment, any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance Ricky
  12. A warm hi to all from Yorkshire in the UK Brand New I would dearly like some advise from you guys please, the forum and it's resources look awesome! I am currently under way with my TK project and iv'e had some invaluable and unconditional help from the FISD, i'm having my armour built for me by Paul at TM and have collated most everything else but i will have to wait sometime yet for the armour. I was in conflict with myself whether to do a TK or a TD, i now find myself in a position where i can do both. Here is where the advise starts, please excuse any ignorance i may burble out. I have just acquired a full set of FX armour which is in excellent condition, is this armour still acceptable? I will leave it there for now as it seems pointless rambling on if the armour is frowned upon. Many thanks in advance Ricky
