  1. 15,602,022,489,829,821,422,840,226.94 Can you write that number in words? I went to public school in Louisiana so I don't think I quite comprehend that one.
  2. It would be fun! You don't have one of those fiero's with the 350 conversion do you? I saw one of those one time that someboyd cobbled together and that little joker would scoot! LOL Looked like @$$ though b/c he had to modify the rear of the car to fit it in. My Edge programmer is at the Edge factory right now receiving the "Hot" unlock code. Instead of adding 125 hp, it'll now be adding 180 hp. I have a straight through 4" exhaust right now but am about to replace it with a 5". My only hang up is that I have to be judicious applying the power or I will soon be rewarded with the distinctive sound of expensive s@!t breaking! LOL (My tranny hasn't been beefed up yet and I don't have the 6k laying around for a full billet one at the moment). As for the 1/4 mile, I haven't had it officially timed. In a 2wd non boosted launch, the EDGE monitor clocks me at just a skotch under 15 seconds. I don't trust it though. I do know what I do off the line to Mustangs and those annoying little cars is a LOT of fun stop light to stop light. They don't know what hit 'em! LOL I'd love to beef up the tranny and be able to do 4wd boosted launches. That'd lower the 1/4 times considerably. All the torque it puts out means I'm constantly riding the line between traction and boiled tires.
  3. Thanks so much Rolf. It wasn't your English, it's my newness to this hobby. I see what you're talking about now though. Good find!
  4. Rolf I must be totally daft but I can't for the life of me make out exactly what it is you're talking about. Can you maybe draw a circle around the area you're talking about with a photo editor or something so a goof like me can understand?
  5. I think that's a very good idea! I really dig it.
  6. Yeah...that one shows just how far he had fallen. I like it too.
  7. That idea of the hinges on the seed tray is great! I may have to give that a try! I too like my silver knobs and am torn as to whether or not to paint them.
  8. That thing is beautiful! Great job bro!
  9. LOL! I had one that was about 10" around and black. Around it it said "Imperial Forces" at the top in English and the same thing around the bottom in Aurekbesh (sp?). I was putting it on the tailgate and tore it beyond repair. I want to get another one.
  10. A while back TD-443 posted pics of his awesome Toyota Tacoma 501st truck. I was amazed that you guys from Europe thought that it was big. Meet "The Beast." It's a 2004.5 Dodge Ram 2500 SLT with a Cummins turbo diesel. It only has a 2" levelling kit on the front right now to allow me to clear the 35" tires. Hopefully early next year I'll put a 6" lift on it. That'll let me clear 37" tires. I was standing on a little hill and I'm kinda tall so the truck doesn't look as tall as it is. Plus, with the programmer and other mods I have under the hood, I eat Mustang GT's and those little rice rocket "Fast and Furious" cars for breakfast! With no muffler, it shakes the ground and sets off car alarms. It is much like its owner, big, mean, and obnoxious! LOL
  11. From what I've seen, that seems to be what he's saying. And for the record GINO, I never called you a keyboard cowboy or whatever you want to call it or tried to imply that you thought of yourself as a badass. I simply gave my take on how to deal with them when they pop up and that doesn't include whining like a you know what all over the internet. I thought that was clear, but apparently you misunderstood and thought I was going after you (the whiny part, yeah...the internet badass, not so much). I've said my peace and am going to let this one go. Especially since you told me off soooo good (or maybe it's b/c I don't wanna get banned from a really good site). I can't believe I dared to point out the hypocrisy of the greatest prop deity in all of Nerd-dom (of which I am a happy subject...quite proud of my nerdery in fact). Thank you GINO. Thank you SOOOO MUCH! [/sarcasm]. Sorry mods. In regards to this thread, Je suis fini.
  12. As long as you bring another of those gorgeous sniper knee kits with you. I may get new shins later and would like one on standby! LOL And whover gets whooped has to buy the beer later! And to clarify, I wasn't suggesting that I'm challenging GINO to a fight. Like I said earlier, I don't know the man (don't really want to from his online persona but that's neither here nor there). All I'm saying is that that is the way I see "threatening" PM's and posts on the internet.
  13. You know, this is where that little voice in the back of my head is saying "keep quiet and let it go" but I've been off work for a while due to a fractured knee sustained while sparring and am spoiling for a fight (at least a little...I work in the Federal Prison System...gotta keep the adrenaline working!). I haven't been active in the hobby very long but I've been reading the forums for years. It honestly kills me to see someone gripe about stealing work that they stole themselves. All the "screen accurate" guys seem to do it but GINO seems to be the most vocal. I'm not meaning to pick on the guy. ****, I don't even know the man. All I know is what I read on the forums that he posts and he comes across as someone that whines and cries a lot (at least in my eyes and this tattle-tale post that started this thread is a prime example). As I understand it, this whole "screen accurate" business got started by someone acquiring some actual ROTJ armor and making molds from it. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that recasting right there? Then the molds got tweaked and sold and bounced around and who knows what all else, but long story short, the stuff came from recasting the original ROTJ suit and helmet that someone at LFL or wherever actually sculpted. Maybe another set of molds were made from an ANH set...who knows? The point is still the same. Seems to me that the only people that should get upset about recasting are the ones that made their own sculpts and did ALL of the work. The fan sculpts like FX and RT-Mod for example. I'm sure there are others out there, but you get my meaning. But jeez-Louise man, to get all bent out of shape over a PM (albeit it definitely is in bad taste) and go crying and whining all over Al Gore's creation and threatening legal action? That just screams of being weak. Maybe it's my somewhat hard upbringing and my job that make me cynical. I'm just used to more "manly" actions than whining like that. I live in an environment that (thankfully) most people never see. It's basically the strong being preyed upon by the stronger who are being preyed upon by the strongest while the weak stay hidden. I know this somewhat skews my perspective on stuff like this but that little PM just ain't no biggie Son! Some keyboard warrior threatens me? Fine. You wanna whoop me? Come give it a shot. I've been training as a fighter for a long time and have PLENTY of practice in the real world. Got lots of time in lots of ERs to prove it too. If you whoop me, you ain't getting no cherry. But I can assure you that it won't be a fun experience on your end either. I just wasn't raised to whine about crap like that. I just don't understand getting all bent out of shape over PLASTIC COSTUMES. I'm sure you worked hard tweaking your molds and all...but they're recasted too. You just don't seem to have much of a leg to stand on in my eyes. Now go ahead and bash me into oblivion and ban me from your site. My life will continue.
  14. I'm CERTAINLY no expert but I think it looks fine. I think it matches the rest of your armor well. As for all the naysayers, I ask you this: are you happy? If so, don't worry about it. It's YOUR costume after all. YOU paid all the money for it and put in all the work on it. As long as you are pleased, what everyone else thinks shouldn't matter. Having said all that, IT LOOKS BADASS! lol
  15. I thought the real mushroom caps were the tupperware dessert/parfait cups with the base removed? My mom had some of those when I was a kid (****...my mom WAS a tupperware lady! LOL) and I distinctly remember how the bases just snap on and off. After looking at all the photos I can find, I'm inclined to think that those are what was used. I have a set coming in off ebay and should be here any day now.
  16. I really like what you did with that bucket! Looks good bro!
  17. I used E-6000 for mine (very carefully though).
  18. Thanks Dutchy...I agree about the pouches. I have another 3 slot pouch but I need to modify the strap so that it stays closer to my body...it kinda pooches out against its loop and stands away from my body. I'll work on that today. My shoulder straps aren't canvas, they're the fake leather kind. My armor came assembled that way and I saw that it was acceptable in the requirements still so I left it. Again, thanks for all the kind comments guys. It lets me know that aside from the present pack issues, I'm on the right track!
  19. Hmmm...you and I ever get cross-threaded? I work for the US Justice Dept., Federal Bureau of Prisons. Lompoc is my third institution. :glare: Here is me btw: Here is me and Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell. Believe it or not, I actually work with his brother. I'm a HUGE MMA fan. That's me just before taking my little girl to the Father / Daughter dance last year.
  20. But I am throwing the feelers out there. Here are my pics of me and my armor. I know the backpack is not up to snuff just yet. I bought it that way and am working on it. I just placed an order with Charlie for the parts I need to make it look right (already purchased and assembled his radio kit yesterday but won't attach it until my new parts arrive...that thing is great!). My question is will I be eligible for deployment assuming I take care of the backpack issue? I have on order the following: 1. Seed trays (my present pack only has halves...they are just single trays on the frame and not the "sandwiched" (for lack of a better word) two trays top and bottom. 2. Mortar tube end caps and control 3. New faucet cover and stinger 4. New upper tool box 5. Vintage tupperware parfait/dessert cups for the tops of the bottles (I will have 2 not just the one pictured). 6. Vintage tupperware pitcher lid for the mortar tube. My armor is FX type with RT-mod thighs (still had to shim them though...I'm 6'2 and 230 so I'm a big boy) and an AP helmet. I have a canvas belt made by GundamZeppelin and pleather shoulder straps. I "stripped" (for lack of a better term) the seams on the fronts of the thighs, calves, and forearms (ala TE, TE2, TM, and AP armor). My armor is weathered out of rattle cans using Rustoleum Camo black, Earth brown, and khaki and mixed and smeared and removed with straight acetone. I have the Mark Cheng style boots that I got off the guy that replaced Cheng (hey...he made them in a 13!). I originally bought this costume complete from another trooper on this forum but the accuracy bug hit me and I reworked and re-weathered it as best I could to fit my frame (still working on the backpack). Assuming I take care of the backpack (the parts are on order btw), would my armor and T-21 get me deployed status? Here are my pics: Hmm...looking at these pics makes me realize I need to move my pouch on my belt to the other side. Any other suggestions?
  21. That looks really awesome. I'm going to be adding that dial display to my radio as well. You guys do great work!
  22. Where from TN you from? I just left eastern AR (about 45 miles east of Memphis). Call me crazy, but I'm kinda missing Memphis with its high crime rate and all.
