  1. Okay, Okay. I got you now. I was looking at the way they pointed (arching to the back). I know the originals were handpainted but I was referring to the sweep of the stripes, not "decals"! LOL I never noticed that about the left and right before. I always thought you were referring to them sweeping forward.

  2. You guys rock!

I did see LORDVADER74's pack, it's a combination of homemade,Crashmann, and Sci-Fire parts on a hand made frame. I thought it looked very nice, The Crashmann seed trays are great, and Crashmann is working on making them a bit deeper so I think they will be perfect after that! The Sci-Fire parts are cool too, kind of remind me of the old school NERF stuff. Talk about indestructable! I hope to see his pack posted up soon, it is very nice! :)

Thanks for the kind words bro. I like it and am proud of it b/c I did it myself. However, I couldn't have done it without your fantastic tutorial and willingness to share. :duim:

  3. Unitl I saw this buildup on another forum, I was happy just to live with my inaccurate pack. After seeing Scootch's work and getting ideas from it, I bit the bullet and built my own. I modified it to fit what I have (I used Crashmann seed trays, stinger, tool box, radio/ Sci-Fire cistern and exhuast port) and used this thread almost step by step to build it. I made a slightly different frame but it was scootch's in depth build up that got me going and got me through. I have to do touch up painting and weathering. After that's done, I'll post pics elsewhere for you guys. At any rate, I wouldn't have a decent pack if not for this guy and his amazing build. THANKS SCOOTCH! :duim::salute:

  4. In the next few weeks :)

I really haven't heard of any armour that hasn't cracked at some stage of it's life. This could change very soon though. I've got a suit here which is 1.5mm thick and it can be bent in two and doesn't crack. I think it would be more suited towards trooping because it feels semi rigid, while the 1mm I have waiting to be formed should be perfect to get that flimsy, on screen look :D

Just out of interest, why would it have to be thicker and less flexible?

These are just costumes and not meant to be bombproof, and I would have thought that a more flexible armour would be more comfortable to wear and lighter too. Plus, if your really going for a screen used look, thinner plastic is better than thicker ;)

Are you getting sharp pulls with this stuff TM?

  5. Armour that doesn't crack?

I may have something along those lines. Something I am working on right now. Something so flimsy like the screen suits that just doesn't want to crack no matter how much you bend or fold it ;)

    I'm intrigued TM.
