  1. I have a hasbro e-11 that I wanted to bring up to spec. I had seen mod kits out there and looked through the forums. Most stuff on here regarding it is from 2007. Do you guys know who I should get in touch with that is making conversion kits currently?

  2. So follow up question, would the PVC be better for a TK since its super shiny an what we all think of a stormtrooper in our minds, and us ABS for a TD, because weathering will take better to it.

  3. Okay so after doing a rediculous amount of reading I've decided to save up and have an RS be my first kit. While I've read a lot on ABS vs HIPS, RS has a PVC set. What are you all's thoughts on PVC vs ABS? I want to go for as screen accurate as possible which is why I decided on the RS. But I want something durable to troop in because let's face it I want to BE the TK/TD not just have it in a stand in the corner. I'm pretty anal about screen accuracy so I'd like to shoot for something that allows me to move up to SWAT eventually. Thanks.

  4. So I have a question for you guys (and gals). My wife no-go'd buying armor right now (stupid other financial obligations!). Would you all recommend gathering up all the other pieces first (backpack, E-11, pauldron, better handguards/gloves) and then having the armor top it off, or just start with a TK and working it into a TD?

  5. Alright troops, I need some help. My wife wants a Star Wars birthday party for my son. It in January so I have some time. She wants to make costumes for the kids to wear to it, but my boy likes the Imperial characters (Darth Vader is his fav). Does anyone have an idea on how to make a decent vader outfit for him to wear? I was thinking make the other kids Jedi costumes because 1: they are easy and 2: Way less cool than the Empire

  6. I use a family members HBO account that they don't use. I found I was keeping Uverse just for Game of Thrones. Cheaper to work a deal with someone on the side. I didn't need any other channels. Roku is awesome though, I use Uverse Internet at the highest bandwidth combined with Netflix, Hulu plus and Crackle. Don't even miss regular TV

  7. Hey all! Names Casey, I live in Texas and am beginning the arduous journey of building my first set of armor. I have no idea why I just saw this introduction section! I ran into a TK at the mall with my kids, and after seeing their reaction, I decided It was finally time to realize my childhood dream of becoming a stormtrooper. Anyway, I got off active duty to go back and finish college, so I'm going to have to build it piece by piece I think. I always thought sand troopers were the coolest, and apparently the only ones that can shoot according to Obi-Wan. Seeing as I was a real life desert soldier, it only seemed natural to extend that into the Galactic Army! I look forward to learning about all of this, and getting to know you all.

  8. Well I'm looking for the best bang for my buck, I am willing to trim things on my own, I'm 5'8 167 so is there a better armor for my size? I guess just point me in a good direction on where to begin. I've been reading and trying to sift through all non TD content so I don't spend unnecessary cash. And to think I got the idea from the UD Replica motorcycle stormtrooper leathers!

  9. Hello from Texas everyone! I have been thinking about starting down the trooping path for a while now, and after seeing a TK at the mall with my kids this weekend, as well as my kids reaction to it, I gotta do it. I skipped the whole TK requirements and came straight here. Figured if I was going to do it, do it right! So I know that the ATA ANH armor is the best place to start, any other advice?

  10. Let me start by saying hello and I'm glad to be here. Didn't see an introductions section. When I went back to school full time the first thing I did was cut cable. Tried using my Xbox but that gold membership is ridiculous. I pay around $45 a month for max speed Internet through U-Verse, and then I purchased a Roku streaming player from Best Buy for about $65. It is better than Apple TV, and I am able to stream the news, MLB season pass, Netfix, Hulu, and HbO Go through it. I pay around 80 a month for everything now and haven't noticed that I don't have cable anymore. The only channel you can't stream is CBS. But you can go to Radio Shack and get an over-the-air Hd antenna and get all the basic cable channels (wrap, wtts, whatever) for free in Hd. That way you don't miss any sports and still get local news. Runs about $70.
