  1. I have these same pics posted in my WIP thread. Maybe they will help those interested in building this style blaster as well. Thanks to those members who researched this particular blaster and posted numerous comparison and WIP pics! I could not have come to this point without your diligent work!
  2. Bapty e11 has begun. It's in black primer now. I will give it another sanding in some rough spots and then begin painting. Later this week I'll work on the mag clip and cut it so I can insert a wooden block. Thanks to those members who researched this particular blaster and posted numerous comparison and WIP pics! I could not have come to this point without your diligent work!
  3. Orange Captain's pauldron by trooper1. MP40 leather and canvas pouches made by TD 8266
  4. Update! I assembled the armor using accurate brackets and elastic loops. The screen used suits used this and it really helps keep everything all lined up every time. The parts hang nicely too. For the shoulder bells I used one long piece of elastic that connects the bells together. I tread this is the setup used in ESB but it was easy and works for me. The biceps will use homemade hooks to connect them onto the shoulder bell elastic. This is what can bee seen on the Han Solo suit in the film. Everything seems to line up well using this method too.
  5. Thanks Felice. I wasn't sure if the blaster in the top pic was screen used or not. I have a few more details to work on and then I can begin the priming and painting. I will then do a final assembly and finish paint.
  6. Another question for the experts: Should the Roadblock captain have a wooden block inserted into the magazine or the standard cover? I really can't tell from the screen caps. I've received my doopy kit via trooperbay and have begun modifying the parts for this build!
  7. I didn't think about the sound... I'm picking up a Quartermaster pack soon and o may try your idea!
  8. Foam insulation? Maybe to keep a beer cold for when a troop is finished! I really like the look of your radio! The leather cover is a very cool touch!
  9. Excellent job! It's amazing how much extra detail you put into this!
  10. One more question fellas... What scope is on this troopers blaster? Is it the M38?... the other scope (M19 I think)? I think the resn DoopyDoos kit comes with an M38 scope. Should I look into getting a costing of the other scope? I just figured that if I'm going to go this far I can't forget that detail. Thanks for your help again!
  11. Sounds logical... and I can see the black space. Lol! Thank you!
  12. I think you just have to practice sounding like the film troopers. I troop as ANH Darth Vader and use a Vortex II voice changer with two AKER amps. I still have to deepen my own voice, slow down my speech and over enunciate to sound like James Earl Jones. It takes time to get it right... I annoyed my wife and kids after I got my Vortex because I walked around the house for two weeks reciting lines from the movie all the time.... it was fun! Lol! I hope this helps a little!
  13. Hey, I'm new too... Lol! Bapty is the prop house that made the blasters for the original Star Wars production. The version used by Sandtroopers as well as some promotional photos are different than the blasters carried by TK's on the Death Star. Hope this helps!
  14. Thanks guys! My base will be a doopy kit. I will definitely use your builds as inspiration so that there is consistency. Once I begin I will post pics in my main WIP thread.
  15. Give troopermaster a PM. He helped me out. Good luck!
