Thanks everyone. It was a fun build and I learned a lot going thru the process. I will get a picture over to them this evening. As for a call sign, if ‘Mongo’ is not taken. That will work. It is what my wife calls me since I am very good at picking things up and putting them down and ignoring finesse by just bashing thru things J

Here are some additional photos. I hope they look okay. Took them after Muay Thai class. Half my body was dead to the world and the other half hurt. Amazes me I pay for that class Plus, my camera died and had to switch to the phone. Ignore the pretty butterflies......
-
It was loose. I was just focusing on the pouch. I will get some more pictures of everything this week and post them. To confirm you need the standard front, back, one with no helmet and with rifle?

As per the CRL on the stripes: (I knew I read it somewhere. I get forgetful when it gets late)
...........numbering between 9 and 15 per side (there does not need to be an equal amount per side). The curve bends backwards
-
Not sure. 12 was the amount that seems to fit on this helmet version and came setup that way. I have looked at other photos and they appear to range from 11 to 16 stripes depending on the helmet.

After a slight detour for thin crust pizza I was able to get, I think, everything accomplished.
1) Link to membership ID - Completed
2) New stripes on right side of helmet
3) Sides closed
4) Backpack about 6 inches higher
5) Front pouch higher and wider blocks of wood added.
6) Center Ab button added to the bottom right side.
-
I was poking around the forum and see the disk shape like yours and the rounded shape that almost looks like a lifesaver candy. I have regular 1/4 inch washers at home I may try out.
Thanks.

I will add the disc to the AB. For people who do not have that molded on, what is everyone glueing there to represent it? If there is no one item I can make it. What are the dimensions?
Thanks.

1) Smally. I was reviewing the CRL and there is no reference to that round detailing on the AB plate. The picture on the CRL also does not show it. Did I miss something in the CRL or I am not understanding your post? I am assuming the round disk on the center panel lower right in your picture?
2) As per the CRL I see the tube stripes should go the other way and it appears to only be one side of my helmet with the error. Glad I have extra decals.
3) The AB straps are elastic, thus the pull when the belt is on. I am going to swap those out with non-elastic ones.
4) I adjusted the front pouch this morning while waiting for waffles and it will be higer in the next set of pictures.
5) I will redo the link at lunch. **Completed**

The helmet came pre-built from RT-MOD, so I assumed the stripes were correct. I have an extra set so not a big deal to change.
Since the AB plate is part of the molded AB, I am not sure how to get that detailing. Can I just glue a round Dusk there?

Thanks for the photos. Good reference on the pack and pouch height.
-
Pack I can pull up on the front straps to pull up the pack and that should pull up the front pouch. The side gap is close when the belt is not on. As soon as I pull the belt tight it "V's" the top part. I am going to try a non-stretchy inside strap to see if that stops the "V'ing". I will get some additional photos up in the next few days. Thanks.

Started Weathering. Takes a little longer then I thought. I think I stare at it more to make sure the weaterhing makes sense then I actually work on it.

Armor is built. Now to start weathering.

Due to the weather yesterday my office closed early, so I got the forearms glued and a half of a bicep. Will be up later tonight putting more together. I recall back in 2010 when I was making my TK that I would only build one suit. Now here I am building a TD and eyeing up some sort of officer next. Plus, I started buying pieces to build a HIC. At this rate I am never going to get that supercharger for my mustang
-
Received my TD kit from RT-MOD. My winter project will now be to put it all together. Just started cutting out snap plates before I begin to put everything together.

Thanks for the photo. Nice collection.

Thanks for the quick feedback. I will do what I did for a Halloween outfit and drag the pouch around with the ATV and run over it a few times
-
Just to confirm the one pictured below would be better since the small pouched is sewed on more towards the center. Then I would dye this black?
-
I promise to stay away from FX. Thanks!

If you do not mind me asking here. For the shoulder pouch would this be okay as is with the color?
-
Yes. Please send a picture. I have never seen all the helmets lined up.
Thanks!

Hello. I am currently waiting delivering of an AM kit to build a Sandtrooper. It will take me a few months to build. In the meantime I wanted to keep my eyes out for a helmet. I currently have an RT helmet on my ROTJ TK and love the room it has with my big cranium. I was searching around to see if there was a size guide on helmets, but I was unable to locate anything. If I am keeping my eye out for a used helmet, beside RT, are there other helmet brands that are close to or equal to the inside size that I should keep an eye out for? I have not searched on this next question yet since I am still poking around the site researching how to build a Sandtrooper, but is a Sandtrooper helmet just ANH helmet made dirty? I just started reading something on 6 or 8 teeth cut out that I found in some searches and made me wonder if that was a Sandtrooper thing or both a ANH TK and Sandtrooper item. I am sure I will have other questions as I dig deeper into my build and research
Appreciate the help.
