Thanks for the thumbs up! I find that the weathering has become my favorite part of this whole process! The whole set of armor should be done by next week hopefully!

Updated pictures of the upper body completed. I am wearing the entire upper section minus the back pack. I welcome all comments good or bad!

Thanks for the thumbs up! I have been using fullers earth. I considered acrylic paints although I liked the thought of the fullers. Gives it a gritty apperance up close. I will break up the chest armor and darken some of the areas. More pictures tomorrow. Thanks

Received my backpack from Dirty Boy yesterday. All the armor is put together minus the thighs. Hopefully by the end of the week. Weather after I complete the build! Ready to join the Brotherhood!

Arrggghhh... I only need a shoulder pouch. Please remove me from the list. I'll keep my eyes open for another run.
I can remove you but these pouches can be altered with relative ease to allow for a shoulder mount. Sorry if I misrepresented any info in the posts. This was not my intention.

From the research I have found I notice that most shoulder pouches are canvas although I have seen some leather pouches used. The pouches I am currently working on are all leather and are being made strictly for the belt/Hips.

This is probably a foolish question but does the shim that is used to close the kidney to the ab plate have to be flush with the surface of the armor? Or with the velcro can it sit behind and just butt up against the back of the kidney and ab plate?

Ok Orall! I have you on the list. This should hopefully be approved soon as the pouches are in the final stages and I should have pouch pictures posted for all to see. Hopefully no modifications will be necessary other than beating them up a bit to make them appear distressed although we are working with leather of a distressed nature to begin with.

I just didnt see the reason for it as I have never had a problem with mine either. I will however if this is a requirement. -
Possibly a dumb question...is it absolutely required to attach the arm gauntlets to the bicep pieces with straps. My previous TK build I just added foam pieces to the inside of the forearm. Is this a MEPD requirement? Sorry for the dumb question.

Here is the most recent update. I have the first of approximate prices for the pouches. Keep in mind that a prototype pouch is being made and being sent to Juan for approval. The goal for these pouches is to be SWAT approvable upon receiving them. This is to avoid any serious modifications from being done. Price will be $45.00 per pouch when ordering two pouches. Single pouch purchase will be $55.00. Also keep in mind that Shipping and Handling will be added. So the easy breakdown here is: $90.00 for 2 or $55.00 for 1 + S&H. Further updates to be provided as made available.

The pouches may be a bit more (Not A lot) than what everyone is used to but my leather team stands behind their work and if anything ever goes wrong with the product they will fix it. I have several items made such as my Episode 3 Anakin glove, anakin boots, anakin jedi belt, 3 belt pouches (all functional) and leather tabards. The quality is beyond anything I could ever have imagined. I can post pics of the items I currently have so everyone can see the quality product. I would never recommend someone or something to the 501st or affiliated units if I did not believe in the finished item whole hearted. The people I work directly with and their website is as follows:

I have all of the measurments for the pouches and I will be working very closely with Juan to get these pouches approved and as stated before they will be tweaked until we can achieve SWAT standards. We will be making one pouch as a prototype for inspection and approval. Once this pouch has been approved we will go into production. Hopefully we can generate enough of a need to have a large order. By doing so we can drive the price down and make the pouches more affordable for all. I will post updates as they come in as I will be talking with my contact daily until we can get the production of these moving ahead. I agree. It has a gritty feel to it. I am surprised at how easy it was after I did a practice piece. Did the entire upper body in a couple hours. Just waiting on A.L.I.C.E straps for the back pack and a little more sand colored fullers to get here so I can finish the last couple of pieces. The end is getting so close I can almost taste it. Hmmm a bit gritty!
