  1. Can I get some advice regarding how some attach their shoulder bells and their chest plate to the suspenders? I have 1-1/2" elastic, 1" nylon, 1" elastic also industrial velcro or snaps (snaps have not worked for me so far, they keep popping off the male part with little pressure. Pics would help. Thanks in advance Patrick
  2. Oddly enough, I did some working with the velcro and things are looking a little better after all. Still having issues with the butt armor sticking out a little. Are the kidney plate and butt armor suppose to be covered by the belt? My belt slides off the the butt armor and rests solely upon the kidney plate. Is there someone out there that may have a remedy? I currently have velcro and elastic holding these parts together. Or, can I leave as is? I hope to have pics up soon. Thanks in advance Patrick
  3. Could be NickBlack423. I thought I snapped them on good. Not sure what the deal is. I am so close to finishing the build and this is knocking me off track and bumming me out.
  4. FIrst thanks to all who responded. My snap set up was just like Grantd1's set up and I used elastic with snaps from Hobby Lobby number 24 (15mm) I just don't get it. Getting kind of discouraged. Thanks again to all Patrick
  5. Hello everyone, I have some questions regarding keeping armor together. I have tried snaps (line 24) and they keep popping off. I went to velcro and it works in some places such as the kidney plate and the cod piece. The snaps constantly popped off of the sides so I added velcro. is there a better snap that I could use (female side as male side is already glued on the armor)? Also the butt piece continues to stick out from the kidney plate. I have a three and a half inch belt, but it keeps sliding (velcro)? Lastley, on the back of the thighs, can we trim some off the part that falls directly behind the knee? I think that is all for now. Thanks in advance Patrick
  6. Yeah, Dirty Boy advised me to use the nylon and velcro. Basically wrapping the velcro from one end of the nylon. I followed his direction and bigolly it works!!! (Thanks again Dirty Boy) I have decided to do like Dirty Boy has done and go all industrial velcro for my complete build. Many thanks to all who responded. Patrick
  7. Would it be easier to text pics? At any rate, I am ready when you are. lol
  8. Yes and a whole lot of industrial velcro.
  9. Hey Dirty Boy, That's ok. Can you send me a pic or something to give me an idea how to do the velcro? I have just about given up on the snap system. I even have most of the snap plates glued on just need to make the straps. Where do you attach your velcro to hold your thigh armor up? The back and kidney plate i can figure out. but the rest I am getting kind of lost. Thanks for getting back with me. Patrick
  10. Thanks Ryss, That is a similar set up I have except my straps adjust, and I can't keep the belt from sagging which is causing the thigh armor to slide. Yeah I have my belt super tight too.
  11. Thanks to all who responded. I read somewhere that Dirty Boy uses velcro for hooking his armor together. I sent him a PM and just waiting for a reply. I am so close to doing the first fit!!!! I have a ton of industrial velcro, but I am not sure on where to attach it so it does the job. The garter I made called for elastic which is what I used. Also I have tried to contact Mighty Tank twice and I have not heard a word in over a month. At any rate the frustration continues. Thanks again!!! Patrick
  12. Hello, I am sure many have had this same problem and maybe figured it out on their own, but have yet to do so. I have glued double snaps into the upper front portion of my thigh piece and then attached them to a belt like a garter kind of set up. Well, the problem I am having is that the belt sags and the thigh pieces slide down no matter how tight i make the belt. If there is a remedy for this I would greatly appreciate it. Also, I have read where some have used velcro for attaching their armor together. Does velcro work better in this case? If someone could please help me in figuring this out, I would be greatly appreciative. Thanks in advance Patrick
  13. Thanks guys for the speedy replies. I saw the ones on eBay, but I was not sure about them. I will check them out again plus check out blueys info. Thanks again. Stay safe Patrick
  14. Hi All, I am putting together my Roadblock Sergeant V2 and I am looking for the the ammo pouch with the small tool pouch attached. I prefer the green canvas. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Stay Safe Patrick
  15. Thanks Bluey. I am excited about completing my build and getting deployed. I am trying to get info in how to build the T-21 or the MG-15. Looking for demensions etc. I found some of the build threads but not all of them give all the lengths/measurements and so on. At any rate, this is going to be a fun ride!!!
