I saw both at the local wal mart. They looked identical to me other than the color.

Thanks for sharing Jez!
Send them an email to loose the stripes in the teardrops and traps!

Super congrats Mike, that is freaking awesome!
I have that one, the BF's shin tools and boot spikes are missing
I've seen them use fan costume images before but not on a retail product. There was a Mandalorian article in the INSIDER a year or so back that had fan-Fett pics used for the painted artwork.

To take a ride down the chocolate river in the Wonka pink sugar boat of course!
I have everything I need in the MEPD - brotherhood, freedom to express oneself, and humor - other than beer, what more can you ask?

Your quite welcome Iain.
Thanks Guys.
Have now got a set of MP40 pouches on the way.I would never have found them without you lot as I have hunted high and low for these **** things.Never realised that the pouches where like gold dust.
Thanks again for all the advice and tips now I just have to start getting the bits 'n' bobs for the backpack and work up the courage to get my armour mucky. It'll look good next to my clean SDS gear but this is going to be good.
All the best to you all.
Iain(TK6598).

MEPD is enough for my Sandy needs, one stop shopping

Looks fantastic Jack!

Welcome to MEPD Iain!
Check ebay for Sitharmor (seller's User ID). They sell really nice leather stollawein replica pouches.
I concur with Freakengine on the backpack parts. Go with TD-1536 for your pack, you can't go wrong. I completed one a couple of months ago. It's as screen accurate as you can get .

Oops sorry about that, it's Slate Blue.
Just for clarification...when you guys mention the American Accents "Slate Gray" do you actually mean "Slate Blue"? I was at the hardware store yesterday looking at paints and they had AA "Slate Blue" that looked pretty good.
Also, as someone mentioned in another paint thread here, the ACE Hardware Enamel "Wedgewood" looks close, too.

Hope you get better
thanks bearden, yeah unfortunately I had a relapse of my back injury for past few months so star wars was furthest from my mind but the dirty boys will always be in my heart, hoping to be a little more active on the boards thanks for noticing though my dirty brother!!!

Good point, I will shut up now
At least it doesn't have a pink hue, I've seen ABS look that way before too.
-
Thanks for sharing the pics, looks great Krylon Fusion satin black would look great on it.
-
Mine has the blue hue as well. I think mine came from the same batch as your friend's
That looks heaps better. i better not show Rachel, she'll go ballistic
actually now her armour is all finished it looks great, blue hue or not it is still a great piece of kit.

Good eye Paul
I use high gloss HIPS. My .060 flexes just as good but don't know how good it would be for trooping. One thing I have noticed though in the AP pics is that the parts being flexed don't have any return lips/edges which makes flexing easier.

When Hasbro Needs a Sandtrooper...
by tuskentrooper on Wed Mar 07, 2007 5:34 pm
Where does toy giant Hasbro go when they need a good reference shot of a Sandtrooper for their new 30th Anniversary Saga Legends collection? If you answered "the Lucasfilm archives" then you'd be wrong. Check out the cardback artwork for the Saga Legends Sandtrooper (courtesy of rebelscum.com), then check out 501st member Mike Harrison's (TD-1536) personal website for this familiar image. By the way, there's also another 501st Trooper coming for those who are still counting each homage to our fine costuming organization. Thanks again, Hasbro!
