  1. Instead of starting a new thread, I thought I would make this one rise from the dead... Anyone have mannequin pics to post??? I'm interested in making one but wanted to get some ideas kicked around before I do. I may build one like Seth provided the link for... http://www.dagobahswamp.com/projects/mannequin/index.asp
  2. Thanks for the comments Rolf! It took a while but was worth taking the time to complete. I enjoyed every minute of the build! Harry
  3. Marc, Thanks for the compliments!!! I'm official now! TD-6521 Please use the pics below for my deployment. Which ever one is easier to work with is fine . Thank you! Harry 1st choice Helmet On: 2nd choice Helmet On: 1st choice Helmet Off: 2nd choice Helmet Off:
  4. I just watched the Pre-Vis trailer for the game. Take a close look at the troopers. It appears that they have storm trooper helmets and clone armor! The events take place between 3 and 4 so I suppose they are blending the two armors together...Also note the yellow "squad leader" trooper. I wonder how long it will take for a costumer to paint their stormtrooper helmet yellow...? hahahaha! PRE-VIS Teaser
  5. Diddo, looks great! Love the bucket weathering! Unless your knee plate doesn't rub you may need to angle it outward to avoid it from catching the thigh armor when you walk, just a suggestion...
  6. Roger . Any idea on how long it takes to get my ID?
  7. Zac, Can you post a comparison pic of the open ends (where the bicep armor lies)? Kind of like this: U U Thanks, Harry
  8. Thanks for all of the compliments guys
  9. Fantastic work on the MA trooper Chris!
  10. TD-427 told me he purchased it by "blasterbuilders". I believe they have the website with the MG-34 scratch templates. I've never scene a Lewis on the web anywhere like mine. The receiver is totally hand carved out of wood. I think the barrel is PVC and bondo'd for the tapered end. There is another inner barrel that runs through the "big" barrel and connects to the wooden receiver. I was impressed by his pics on the RPF but was even more impressed when I received it in the mail. I love it! I added a swivel for the sling. I didn't like how it was originally mounted. The originator had it connected by the brass butt plate. I also added the "fins" that are between the barrel and receiver. It lacked that detail. The rear sight and brass butt plate appear to be real Lewis parts. The rear sight was mounted backwards so corrected that too. Here is a pic before the two mods as I received it.
  11. Yep, unfortunately it snows in PA ! Deployment submission photos are recommended to be outside in natural light so the snow was kind of unavoidable .
  12. Finally, I feel confident that I am ready for the 501st/Garrison Carida and MEPD. I put in my 501st application. As soon as I get my ID, I will be requesting MEPD deployment as well. I always believed that I wasn't ready for the 501st until I was "official" for the MEPD too . Here are some pics my buddy took of me suited up. It's an AP suit, SB/MH pack, T-21 with a couple of mods that I purchased from TD-427, Sitharmor pouches, and a GA Pauldron. I feel like a 10 year old waiting for my ID#, whoo hoo! Hope you guys like the pics !!! Click on the pics to enlarge them... *EDIT*: Title changed from 521 to 6521!!!
  13. This idea popped in my head a couple of weeks ago but I didnt' have time to get to it. The "bracket" is sanded and getting painted today. I bought a 1/4" x 6" hex bolt, lock washer and nut at Lowes yesterday. I'm going to attach the bracket to the hose that already exists on my pack with a clamp and bolt the tupperware pitcher "bee stinger" in place. More pics to follow.
  14. I found some at Michael's. You can buy it by the foot.
