  1. got the bando kit from moncal. got the helmet from golden armor. I was unaware of another maker at the time of purchase. I forget the name of the other helmet maker but it looked quite a bit more accurate than the ga one. I had to add quite a bit of mods to the ga helmet to get it right. the snout was a bit crooked. I had to cut the end of it all the way off and build a new piece to fit the silver grill onto the snout. I never heard of sandman's. do you have a link or a pic of his?

is that one of Sandmans helmets?

i LOVE it, bro! great work! :duim:

  2. hi all. I finally did it! This is one of those ideas we all seem to have when we joined the 501st at one time or another. To get our gf/wife to join up and troop with us :D

thought I'd share the pics. What do you all think? keep in mind the boots are supposed to be pointy toed cowboy boots I believe. We subbed with army desert boots in the meantime. we can't seem to find them since the start of the boushh project. anywho, she's pending approval...

  3. Nicely said. I have to admit, I would love to get a HF Lewis but after spending over a year of my life on this board I fear the same thing might happen to me so I've avoided it and went with a "scratch built" Lewis. I'm happy with it but if a "previous HF owner" were to put a HF Lewis up for sale I would consider it .

Apologies don't mean much if the guilty party doesn't do anything to remedy the situation.

Suppose Dell sold one of you a computer, took 4-8 months to ship it, and it showed up not fully put together, you'd probably never do business with them again. They can apologize all day long, but they have to go the extra mile to make things right, not the customer nagging them.

I advise people to find a used one. Just read all the posts on this and the 501st forum.

  4. I finally got around to constructing a PVC mannequin. I have to fill in around the thighs, adjust the biceps, etc to give it more of a "human shape" so to speak...anywho here is a pic. Materials cost me around $25 at Home Depot. I'd like to make a nice sturdy base so the pack and Lewis can be displayed too. How's it look so far?

  5. Good news...I get the chance to go to California during C4...bad news, I will be in Fort Irwin choking on sand for the duration. If it wasn't for not knowing what the living conditions will be for my two week stay, I would have liked to pack up my TD armor for some desert pics .

I'll be there from May 20th to June 2nd...yippee.
