  1. It took me so long to get my ID#, that all of the numbers I wanted were snatched as I waited. Sounds cheesy, I know, but I picked significant Bible verses for my number. I really wanted 2221, which is the last verse in Revelation.

I ended up going with 2 Samuel 22:43 "Then I pulverized them as the dust of the earth; I crushed and stamped them as the mire of the streets." I thought it was just a brutal verse.

    TD-2243

Nothing like the wrath of god to say "you are going to get the smack down from this trooper". I like it a lot.

  2. I started a similar theard on the garrison I will be moving to soon. I thought long and hard about my ID# since it would be with me as long as I was a member. I tried a few movie numbers but they were all gone.

In Feb 2002 I was deployed to Ahganistan in Support of Operation Enduring Freedom. The very first combat sortie I flew was to rescue several heavily injured Anti-Taliban fighters. We flew several hours through hostal territory to get to them, we were able to get them to the US hospital, and they all survived. It was one **** of a night, one I wont forget anytime soon. The aircraft I flew on that night was 4995. So it was first on my list of choices and now that is my number.

  3. I'm a skinny guy, about 6', 160lbs.

While I have plenty of reference shots, the only way to make this ideal for me, and for screen accuracy, is to make all the measurements identical to mine. I've also used some of the measurements from my existing sets of armor, such as the leg pieces.

Sorry to have caused such a stir. I was just asking a simple size question. I completely understand why the size looks small. If I was sculpting a suit I would make it fit me too. I think the thing about MG armor is he was a bigger guy making armor for himself too at first, and it worked out that it would fit most.

It is awesome work and it should look fantastic.

  4. Awesome work I have an old set of MG armor and never liked how the thigh look. I really can't wait to see this done. Might make me think twice about making a clone again. They do look very skinny, what size of a person can wear this without shimming?

  5. Looking good! Welcome aboard.

    Thank you.

I, TD4995, solemnly swear unwavering allegiance to Lord Vader, his majesty the Emperor and to uphold the laws of the Empire to the best of my ability. As a deployed member of the MEPD, I am duty bound to faithfully execute the orders of my superiors in maintaining Imperial law and order in the towns, cantinas, moisture farms, desert wastes and wherever suppression of indigenous or off-world life forms are necessary.

I will be ever-vigilant in my hunt and apprehension of rebels and their Jedi traitor sycophants. Should they resist or obstruct detention or interrogation, I am empowered to carry out their immediate termination unless otherwise instructed. I am further empowered to confiscate any droids suspected of carrying any contraband data or holocrons prejudicial to the interests of the Empire. On patrol I will endeavor to collect as much local intelligence pursuant to the discovery, arrest and/or liquidation of any rebels and their sympathizers.

I will treat the local inhabitants with the courtesy deserving of a non-hostile cooperative citizenry but reserve the right to enact punitive measures when crimes of lawlessness or treason are committed.

I respect my fellow troopers and will not do anything to undermine or jeopardize their welfare through dereliction of duty, insubordination or cowardice.

I acknowledge MEPD membership as an earned privilege within the ranks of the 501st Legion and therefore am held to a higher code of conduct and honor in assuming the duties and responsibilities of deployment.

Found this on the board today. Great idea everyone should take it and be held to the MEPD standard.

  6. Lookin' good.

BTW, is that one of the few MDK back packs?

Thanks. I wish. I thought I had them talked into getting one to wear around after I bought my blasters from them, but it never happened. I am still trying thou. Got some of the parts of the RPF made, made some. I need to work on the valve plunger part. I couldn't find the meat stacker so I made it without them. I think I need that to make it more screen acurate.

  7. That will look awesome. the new mini stormtrooper blaster would look cool framed up with it, or 1/6 scale lewis/mg34. Say a few movie posters done up with props from the movie, it looked really cool. Anyway what a treasure

  8. If you can't wait i would highly recommend AP armor which is currently available. Let me know if you need any contact info for him or pictures.

Is AP the same size as TE or a little larger. I looked at getting AP last year before I got side tracked with the EP3 Clone. I will let you know if I go AP.

    John
