So proud to all of you!

Hello! Bro. Yen. Thanks of compliment.
You can take a closer look from my update picture shown above that I did some natural weathering job on my backpack. Consider the actual movie scene while all the "Marmit style" backpack didn't have "sand bath" of yellow nor brown mud attached, I decide keep out from the sand storm. Maybe I will brush some light dark grey at the corner and turning area for a much weathering look but I have to check back the HD movie still in advance for further confirmation.
P.S.
I just troop with two brotherhoods of TD from your unit.

Thanks of compliment, dutchy.
The reason I choose metal frame of Alice backback is because I consider it is the actual base that used as the actual movie props of Sandtrooper backback. The base of backpack that Hoth rebel soilder used is the frame of medium size Alice backpack.
If thats the case, then its very easy to determine the size of trays that need to construted a movie accurate size of backpack.

My pleasure, Iconoclasta. While using old newspaper, I recommand use the side with most of the "field" black ink but not the ink side with news wordings.

I consider all of you know that the MR limited edition ANH helmet is mold on a real deal stunt version helmet, MR only did "surface detail" to look like hero version. As my observation, the overall shape is still "very" stunt, so no mercy by convert back to stunt then go into my latest TD helmet.
Flat green lenses, 4th teeth, one more screw...I don't think I need to repeat here. One worth to mentioned is that I spent sometime in-search for the movie accurate grey color for my hand paint job on tear-drops and traps, I finally find and use the color of Gundam Marker #GM13.

For the passing years, some Asian 501st asked my opinion about field backpack.
I custom made my backpack in the year of 2003, following the "Marmit" style. I used metal frame from
vintage Alice military backpack with found objects and cast plate.
My back pack was heavily damaged by typhoon during the Asian 501st joint trooping event of last year. Last month, I had repaired the pack and took pictures for reference.
Welcome by provide opinions.

Ever since I am CO and operate almost unstoppable local and muti-national joint missions, I gave-up my good armor time...especially not even have time by comming back to MEPD.
This month mark the 10th years I acquire my armor, by commemorate this I spent the whole last month by upgrade my armor. Mainly I trimed the armor to be more screen accurate and redone the weathering dirt job be more natural like the docking bay 94 scence in the movie. I surprisingly found that ink from old newspaper do the real feel. I finalized by spraying a thin layer of matt white over the wheathering dirt and then a layer of semi-matt clear spray over the whole armor.

Thanks again! weiBes!
Bro. freakengine,
You read my mind, I did actually rubbing off some dirt right before my recent trooping and spray the clear flat paint all over the armor again.

I just update all the pictures I re-shoot by a well equipted digital camera which quite truely reflect the tone of color and pattern by detail of the actual work I did to my armour.
Now...only two left by getting the job finished : 1. Weathering the calves ; 2. Replace a Sniper Plate.
