Good Luck Bro! I am sure you will do fine.
-
Your not right dude LOL
-
No problem bro. I just knew that my police humor wouldn't be wasted here, with all the law enforcement folks we have running around in MEPD.
Welcome!
MEOW are these your droids? MEOW answer the question son...
When I get my TD up and running, I am sooo doing a TD Supertrooper parody!
-
" Yes, I DO NEED TO SEE YOUR IDENTIFICATION" stop waving your hand in my face sir.....or I will stun and bind you. Imagine that Sarge..guy thinks he is a Jedi..."
I'm sure that was in the original script, until they changed it. LOL Classic Tho!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You know, I always imagined that it would go down like any other taffic stop.
Good afternoon, I am Captain "DOC" Vito with the MEPD. The reason I stopped you is because the Emporer has given me this cool "Do anything I want and get away with it badge". Imperial Drivers Licence, Mos Eisley Registration, proof of Imperial Insurance, and urine sample please... also I am going to need to see a bill of sale on these two droids. You don't have paperwork with you? Sarge, run the serial numbers thru the Imperial Database (muffled yes sir in the back)... they are in pretty good shape for being farm droids... no dirt or anything on them. Had them two seasons huh? Look at me, I am filthy... and I have been here six months... what? Yes, I DO NEED TO SEE YOUR IDENTIFICATION... stop waving your hand in my face sir, or I will stun and bind you. Imagine that Sarge... guy thinks he is a Jedi (laughing in the background)... I'm gonna need you to step out of the speeder please... Do either of you have any weapons or sharp objects in your pockets that will... THE OLD MAN'S GOT A BLADE! Shoot em!
That's the way it should have gone down... but I understand that would have cut the movie short. Then again, a movie about the TD's would have been cool too.

Congrats bro! With your help, I will be next!

This is why I love the human brain
Amazing! I'm freaked out right now.

My parents are having a 106" screen and projector into their new home, with surround sound (I just installed the speakers into the cieling yesterday). I will have to settle for that and a blue ray player when the time comes. It's not a theater, but it's the next best thing. I saw the original in the theater, but I was two years old and don't remember it.... darn this memory of mine!
I can understand where Lucas is coming from, I just wish he would re-release the origional movies onto the big screen. I think a good bit of people would see it, including me.
-
Keep it coming guys, I have this feeling that there are even more of us out there.
-
Chris,
I'm just doing research. I ordered a kit from Rick and figured I'd take a lok at what else I would need before it got here. Btw...glad you can make it Sat.
No worries bro, can't wait to see the build!
-
Are you working on your pack already? At this rate you will be done before the party on Saturday!
-
Congats Dude! I look forward to the day I get my TD.
-
WOW! I just love to see these builds from start to finish.
Q: Is there some sort of blueprint out there that show exact dimentions when going for a build like this. Or is it up to the builder?

Got some intel thanks to Tatooine Ted. Nothing that resembles a badge, but there is a ton of information on the ISP and the ISB respectively. Also, I posted a picture of an ISB Stormtrooper, although I can't speak for its authenticity, I does look kinda cool.
-
As far as I know, there's no pictures of it. It is only mentioned briefly in one of the X-Wing novels, if I remember correctly.
I spent a good portion of my day yesterday looking for some kind of reference to the badge, and came up empty.
-
She was HOT!
I agree LOL

Well I'm not an artist, is there someone who can make something up? I think that if there was some research done on the badge from the novel, and we make it as accurate as possible, then perhaps we could get it approved to wear. I don't have much clout here, but I am sure there is someone who can spearhead this for us.

Congrats! Color me green with envy!

Yes that counts! Police Officers are the same all over the world, this is an international community here, just like it is for us in the Police Departments.British Police Constable count?
Not 501st yet, I'm still waiting for my first armour to be delivered, hopefully not long to go now.
Craig
Awesome! I'm so glad that Philip started this thread. I didn't have any idea that there were so many of us here.13 years Sherman PD......60 miles north of Dallas.
5 years patrol. 8 years Sgt, currently on deep nights. Done my time with all the specialties over the years, SWAT, FTO, Bike, Instructor of all types, Fireams, armorer.....on and on
Interesting question here... I am not up on the expanded universe, but is there a picture of the crossed baton badge someplace? We should definatly make our own "brigade" then!
I remember from one of the SW novels, that stormtrooper provosts used 2 crossed batons as a badge on their armor. Maybe we can think of something better?
-
Nice bro!
-
No longer on patrol. I'm a criminal investigator with the Travis County Prosecutors Office.
I was six years Patrol near San Antonio, and now am waiting for a call back with another agency.
I feel like we should be able to affix a MEPD Badge to our Sandy Armor... just sayin'... maybe to the pauldron at least...

Hi Phil, I´m Leo
That makes three...
LEO = Law Enforcement Officer
And without overstepping my bounds Miliary Law Enforcement counts, but I would wait for Ted to answer that...
-
I'm just starting out and was registered with FISD and fully intended on going TD. Then I was told about this site, I think I found my home. I'm currently a LEO in Texas and met another newbie who is also, got to thinking if there were more LEOs lurking around in the 501st. MEPD seemed like a good place for them to hide.
cheers,
Phil
Then there were two...
Welcome Brother! Glad you found the site ok. Like I said in my message, there is a boat load of intel on how to make a TD build, and since we are in the same area it would be cool to be able to help each other out.
LEO's sound off if your here!
-
Maybe they would call him a "white head" or "meat"...
