    I don't understand why this sort of behavior happens so often in the prop community. It really makes people suspicious even when dealing with honest vendors.

    I'm sorry to hear it's happened to you. I was one of the lucky ones who got exactly what Phil promised and in only a couple of weeks, but that was over a year ago. From the postings over at the prop den, it appears very few are so lucky these days.

    That Greedo's looking pretty good. Man, that's a hard costume to wear. Greedo was my first SW costume and I just couldn't hang with it. Between the latex mask sticking to my sweaty head and not being able to use my hands because of the sucker-tipped fingers, I got seriously claustrophobic! I still have the blaster though. :)

    Thanks, Rolf. Much appreciated. I've been writing and directing a web series since October but we're wrapping soon so I'll be around more often. Hopefully there will still be something left after you're done buying everything up! :)

    When dealing with children, you're better off breaking the ice with a wave and waiting for them to come to you. You can offer an outstretched hand, but be patient. If you bum rush them you'll frighten them. I actually had a child psychologist come up to me and complement me on this technique at a recent event.

    Watch your posture. You want to stand straight and tall like a soldier and never lean. Find a comfortable stance. If you're going to walk around, survey the crowd like a police officer.

    For some reason lots of people seem to enjoy having their pics taken as if they were under arrest. They also like having blasters pointed at them. I often bust people who think I don't notice them taking a pic by pointing my BFG in their direction.

    I also agree with a lot of what's been already stated. "Can I see your identification, sir (or ma'am)?" is gold as is asking how long someone's had their droid(s) while indicating their children. I also refer to everyone as "sir" or "ma'am".

    I'd like to invite everyone to check out my latest project. I am the writer, director, and producer of a new web series called Jupiter's Ghost. It's the story of a deep space mission in the year 2120. The story is almost entirely told through the messages the crew members send to Earth. This is a major labor of love for all involved and I'd appreciate it if you guys would check it out. The show will ramp up over the next few weeks to eventually have three messages released each Thursday.

    If anyone's wondered where I've been lately, here's the answer. :D
