  1. This is pretty loud but I do not know how it would sound in a room full of people. I did this to my GF with speakers I purchased from radio shack. They were small ones like Mike used. This time around I used the speakers that came with it. They are over double the size. IMO this one sounds like I'm yelling if it's almost max volume. Once I paint the helmet, I'll take it to work and try it out in a large group of co-workers .

And when you do. you might get some strange looks like i get when people lokk at me with my FINE MOLDS TIE INTERCEPTER on my desk.

  2. I find that some trooper are on the big side and cant fit to well in a ANH style kit such as my self. but im gonna upgrade to a better helmet soon so rock what you got and have fun trooping on the dirtier side of life

  3. Given the unlimited resources on the internet, you can always do what I did - research it, then build your own. Find out how long the MG34 is. Then take a really nice picture of one, and blow it up to that full size. Print it. Trace it onto your wood. That's a great start.

And that's how I made this tutorial:

Using these takes the research and hard work out. I did the work for you. Enjoy.

I keep saying this (and I am blue in the face) This blaster cost about $30 (and that assuming you have no wood or PVC around the house), and weighs 3lbs. This MG34 even breaks down into two parts for easy storage in your trooper tub. For weight/cost/accuracy, it does not get better than this. I didn't make mine super detailed, but I was in a rush, and made a several at once. You can make these as plain or detailed as you'd like.

Bro that looks **** good way better than my cushmans and i put 3 day of work to make it look decent

  4. CJfive: well said trooper I see it the way you do. Over at the OLG we have a new trooper is a TK but likes the look of having a pauldron. I told him its ok to wear it Im no authority on the subjet of him having it he also carries a mg34, and he thought the TD's of our garrison would be mad with him but I said to him agian go for it. I also said to him he should look at the spec ops forum. But if he belongs here under HWT then he's a HWT not a TD . He in no way wants shoulder pouches or a backpack or any other stuff that makes us TD's I hope I didnt ruffel any of my bro's and sis of the MEPD It's just how I feel on this ...I say more the merryer

I also said to him if i see a ad plate or anything that pertains to us oter than the pauldron and the bfg I will throw the biggest mud ball at him then run up with some type of spray to make it stay

  5. The info on StarWars.com that pertains to Sandtroopers specifically states that the pauldrons are to designate rank. Overall I agree with everyone else, I think it was a melting pot of paudrons. The actors through them on and were filmed. The orange one was more visual and grabs the audience's attention hence the reason for the "leader" wearing it.

"Sandtroopers wear colored pauldrons as a designation of rank. A stormtrooper sergeant's pauldron is white while an enlisted stormtrooper's pauldron is all black. Squad leaders, who lead units of seven troopers, wear orange shoulder pauldrons."

It's the last paragraph in the link above.

the same page has this listed.

Their armor consists of an 18-piece anti-blaster cocoon shell with ''heat-reflective coating worn over a temperature-control body glove''. I think the quarter master forgot to give me mine I sweat like a pig
