Thanks... Been lurking around for a LONG time. Tons or great info and people on here.
I did that drawing before I had a real MG-15 or a real scope but had some great reference, castings of real stuff, and some key measurements from some friends. It should be better than 99% accurate I would think. The internals I know are right since I got to design em.
Hopefully I'll be able to do more of the sandy blasters in an Imperial edition of the DK Blueprints. Would be a good excuse to pick up some more "reference"
Very nice drawing, Chris! Welcome to the MEPD!

Its always been one of my favorite blasters and while I was drawing it up for the Blueprints for DK we actually got to name the thing. Oddly enough nobody had ever given the MG-15 based blaster a name so we came up with RT-97C.
A little Trivia for ya: The source of the RT-97C name is from our names and the first year Trevas and I met and decided to start work on The Parts of Star Wars website...

Nice!
Would be cool if there was more options, of where to buy accurate sandy fire arms

wheres the best place for info on the RT-97C?
I just posted a pic of the line art I did for the DK Blueprints set... Might help you out a bit. There is a ton of great straight MG 15 reference online (a bunck on a deactivated gun site in the UK) along with good shots of the Enfield scope/mount and the single point scope around the web. The "Snooper Scope is harder to find good reference on but I've got one I could shoot pics of for you if need be. Also have a real MG15 if you need any measurements or specific detail pics.
I also have a Hyperfirm MG15 I could take some pics of that may help you. I'm currently looking to sell it but if I can always take some shots of it before someone grabs it.

Awesome! Looking great!
We've been researching parts for the pack since Celebration London and have a lot of info up on the Parts of Star Wars facebook page. Here's a link to our album specific to it: Rogue One Stormtrooper Backpack
We have a supply of some of those real metal hooks already and will be posting "antenna" info soon....
