  1. Rolf.. I have had custody of my daughter since she was 1 1/2 yrs old, her mother also felt like the burdens of having a child weren't fulfilling enough and decided that her previous life was better! Now 14 years later I have a beautiful confident intelligent young lady as a daughter, her mother sees her when she can, I have been married for 8yrs now and have 4 fantastic boys. I still look back at the time I spent alone with my daughter as a single dad, and what has come of our lives now and have enjoyed every bit of it. I have always counted myself lucky that I have had the chance to raise her alone, the mess that her mother would have caused with her immaturity and recklessness would have certainly made it very difficult to raise our daughter in a healthy environment and far more difficult for me to have gained custody of her when I did. I am rich with my experiences as a father. If you find yourself traveling to the states and want to visit Boston, I am 20 minutes outside and have plenty of room for a houseguest.

Besides devoting most of my time to my wife and kids (5 and 1..) thats 5 kids, 1 wife. I trained as a Ferrari mechanic, owned my own Porsche shop, built race cars worked as a crew member for 24hrs Daytona. I enjoy motocross, and dirtbikes, big fan of BMX, love my trooper build. This winter I got turned on to RC racing, particularly short course 1/10 scale truck. I am obsessed with short course racing in general. I draw and sculpt (6 years of art school..) but find little time in my adult years to do much. I am a hobby photographer and sometimes a professional couch potato. I am 41 and find more and more interests as time is going by...Posted Image

  4. Awesome, I'm building my armor kit now and my second helmet, great stuff. Good guy Terrell, quality stuff, worth the effort to build correctly. Get a couple of layers of paint on it and it will stiffen up quite nicely. Great first suit or troopin' suit, can't beat the price either.

  5. I know Sonnenschein lives in Vienna, so hopefully she'll chime in and maybe a few others too. My daughter is going to Vienna, Prague and Budapest this summer on a high school trip (departing Boston) and I was curious if anyone had some "must see/do" suggestions. I admit I am a little nervous sending her out for the first time without family, but its important for her to go.

    thanks

  6. hi everyone im trying to find a stormtrooper helmet but all i can find is really expenicive ones and would like to no were to get a starter sort of one maybe under 80 or 70 pounds as im only young if you could come back with links places,or if you have any to sell etc thanks dan :)

i picked up an ata "b" grade helmet, super happy with it, hard to tell why it wasnt "a" grade. i wanted to try my hand at building one without potentially ruining an expensive helmet, it came out great, would definitely pick up another if i wanted one. plus he is really nice and easy to deal with.

  7. what about reinforcing the inside with a spray/roll on truck bed liner. super durable, thick, especially if you are going to paint it black anyway. you can degrease it with a paint prep spray, napa should have something, or a prep all in the detailing wax section of a good auto store. just a thought does goo gone strip silicone?

  8. Woodchuck here. A trooper asked me to build a DARK FORCES - JEDI KNIGHT pistol blaster.

I am having trouble finding the parts on the front of the pistol. The fins look like just a gear, maybe out of a

automobile or lawn mower ?? The diameter should be around 1 1/2 - 1 3/4 inches.

The round thingy on the front of the gear looks like a grommet, or spacer or bushing ??

The diameter of this part should be

whatever looks right when placed onto the finned gear.

The other three round thingys look like grommets too, just smaller diameters.

Anyone know where I can get some of these?

    Thanks,

the end of the muzzle is a timing belt pulley try here and here.

  9. This is something that would be good to bring up on the Legion boards... something for the 501st site specifically.

You can always go here and simply search for a Garrison name you're wondering about though.

I mean if you wondering how many TDs are in the "Dewback Ridge Garrison" then you could just search those pages for "Dewback" and find out.

It would work for the 501st too, but I think one exclusively for MEPD, as most of the rest I'm not too interested in, just stormtroopers. There are others (SL, BH..) but just to have one for TD's and TK's, cool! Plus for the most part it would eliminate a lot of leg work for our members. I'm into easy.

  10. I was curious if there was a search button, or if someone has assembled a map or regional list of TD's. A clickable map, or state by state. I know that being a member of a local garrison we can get in touch, but what if say one was travelling and wanted to get in contact with locals, or if I'm home (NY) and wanted to meet some fellow troopers. Even a world list/map.

  11. Good to go with the stripe, except check the placement right side ots on the forward bump, left its on the rearward bump. Also brow trim lines up with edge of trap on left side and past the right trap, even up the right, I missed a few details when I built mine, easy to do I was so excited. looks good though.

  12. Fixed a few things last night per troopermasters suggestions, didn't recut the eyes since the lenses are epoxied in. Tell me tube stripes? too short, not curved enough, too dark? I can't put my finger on it. I'm going to reattach the neck trim tonight, need to get my weatherstrip adhesive from work, hot glue didn't hold. Thanks

  13. Looks good man! :duim:

What things made it a "b" grade? (just curious)

So is this your first helmet?

Not sure what made it "b" grade, it seems just fine to me. I'm super happy with it, I think it came out great. Took a little wiggling but it worked fine.

Yes my first helmet, I don't have another (yet) to compare it to. I'd buy another "b" anytime.

  14. Posted this over on my NEG forum, I thought I'd get some feedback here as well, as I will weather it when I get my armor to match. This is an ATA "b" grade cast. I like it, I am happy with my first go at it. Just need to add the tube stripes (painting them) and some smaller mods to the inside. All in all I like it.

    New pictures posted!

  15. Chris here. New member of the 501st NEG (Massachusetts to be exact.). I am actively researching a TD build, Not many (if any) in the NEG. I have narrowed it down to building an AM kit with an ATA helmet, just getting ready to pull the trigger. I am really excited to be a fully equiped and active member. thanks for having me.
