    Did the sand make you Dirty or did the sharpness of the sand put wear and tear on your clothing and thats why you had new ???

    Thanks. :) Well, unless there was a sand storm, usually just my boots would be sandy. The desert uniforms were used because they were a lighter, more comfortable material, and they were desert-camouflage, unlike the green camouflage we wore in-garrison. We just wear kinda greyish camo now.

    r there any other dessert planets? i mean a lot of military's just don't hand out new gear cause your called up to go on a new mission

    Well, every time I was deployed (in real life) to the middle-east desert, I was issued new desert gear, including desert boots & desert uniforms. So thats possible. As for them being dirty so quickly, if they landed durning a sand storm, I think they would probably be about that dirty. I was blasted a few times in sand storms & I was pretty sandy. I don't think that would prevent them from being "specialists" of a certain terrain though. They did bring back packs that we never saw on Endor or Hoth, and they carried some pretty heavy fire power. Just my thoughts. :)
