  1. Hi Guys

well this arrived today its a LEE ENFIELD wooden stock made of walnut. I think it is a BUTT for Lee Enfield No.4. It is in good Conditon and never been used. It is marked:"N 49 /I\". At the war time this code N49 was used by H Morris & Co Ltd GLASGOW. They made wooden parts for No4 Mk1. its made from British walnut and was probably produced during the WW2 era, or few years after 1945.

Does anyone know of a pattern i can use for the Middle section of the T21 the bit goes between the Butt and Barrell

  2. The weathering is down to individual Preference Mate, some like extreme dirt and some like subtle weathering, im certain this will get MEPD clearence therefore if it gets MEPD clearence (which imho is the biggest accolade you could get) then it should be cleared every where else.

If you like it the way it is then keep it, your a Sandtrooper and Sandtroopers are meant to be dirty

  3. Ok against my better Judgement ive decided to try and get this TE ANH armour done, as im getting married this year im having to persevere with it as just cannot afford or justify getting different armour.

The Build is going ok a few issues to sort out ie the Shoulder Pouch, need to change the Orange Pauldron to White and then weather the Helmet some more

The Fun in weathering the whole armour comes when its complete :peace:

Ok so from the front everything looks fine but once i turn around all the problems with how small this TE becomes apparent.

I need to sort out the Butt section as it sags at the sides which is the easy fix my problem are the legs in particular the thighs and calfs,

how on earth am i going to get those areas to meet at the back and be at a standard for clearence into the MEPD ranks .......... your help and guidence would be great here guys plus any other issuse you can see with the build so far, long ways to go but its getting there.

Once done il be ordering boots building a BFG and ordering a back pack from the MEPD Back Pack master

Big Problems here, sort out the sagging Butt Section (easy done) but how on earth do i shim the thighs and calfs to a standard to get MEPD clearence.

  4. wow having been away a while this is the first time ive seen this and it totally rocks im looking forward to seeing how you fix the butt plat to the back plate this bit always baffles me

I have the first RS Sandtrooper Helmet in my posession if you want pictures just let me know

  5. You could get AM or better yet, RT-MOD, if the pieces you have now are too small.

I just cant get over how tight this stuff is, ive shimmed it to the max but i would never get this stuff on defiantely need to look at another set to troop in if im to join you guys at Celebration

  6. Well i can officially rule out the chance of ever wanting to wear this TE Armour. I tried to do a Test fit on me and there is no way its going to fit.

Im in the Process of getting over Knee surgery and working out pretty hard, ive gained a few pounds and Inches in Muscle mass and boy does it show on the armour. The Bicep pieces would need to be shimmed about 5 inches

Looks like im going to have to invest in some old style FX at least i know that will fit

  7. I think most Definately a Pre pay on the T-shirts and collect upon arrival, or and i know this is not the MEPD way but hey this is a special occasion, all those attending either bring their own flag or have the Flag of their Origin on their Shoulder Bell

im so excited and it's months away yet

  8. Hey Markus

I was looking at an armour build from the perspective that i had just had knee reconstruction and wanted to keep occupied hence my request.

If your Looking for an Armour build in your Area then i suggest you get in touch with your local 501st.

Ive noticed you live in Liecester !! are you near the Space Center ?? the UK 501st are holding an Event their soon and im led to believe they hold Armour building workshops

    hope that helps

  9. On our Visit to the US this summer the Fiancee and i travelled along the east coast, on our journey we stopped off at as many HRC as we could and the misses picked out some of the pin's.

It was not until we got to Niagara that we were informed collecting these Pins has a big world wide appeal and she promtly joined the Pin Collector's club.

This Last weekend The Fiancee and myself went to a Pin Collectors Event in Edinburgh, what an eye opener that was, there was a couple all the way from Tennesee that were there purely to pick up the Edinburgh new Release pin (and i thought us guys were dedictaed)

Any way to cut a long story short the Fiancee is now hooked, so my question is, are there any collectors here ? do you know of any Collectors who would be willing to be her overseas contact? or maybe you have some HRC pins you dont want.

She supports me in my hobby so i think its fair i return the favour hence the very off topic post
