Hi all, I'm nearly completion of my armor build and having some issues with the calf armor. They want to rotate 45-90 degrees outward when I'm walking. Has anyone else had this issue and if so what is the remedy? I thought about lining it with foam but I don't think that is going to stop the rotation. I could possibly sew some velcro on the bottom of my black suit pants leg and then velcro the inside of the calf armor but wondering if there is a simpler way and why this happens....is this common? Thanks

Hi Guys, I've been on here a few weeks and need to introduce myself. My name is Mike Greene from Tennessee. I'm currently working on my armor as we speak for application into the 501st. Before I even started I knew I wanted to be a sandy and the guys on the Midsouth Forums said to start here, boy were they right. You guys have a wealth of knowledge and everyone has been great to share for someone this green. Wanted to give a big thanks to Slave5 for running that holiday special, I was the private sale on his DLT-19 and I'm extremely excited to have been able to acquire one of those, I hear hyperfirms are the best. My goal is to become a member of the 501st by the end of the year, might not be achievable but I'm gonna try. Next I want to try and make Deployment, if I can make that I know that my stuff will be exactly where it needs to be cause you guys know what it takes! "I'll see you on the beach" (Capt. I wear about a 12.5 so I went with a 13, there are a bit big but they have no cushioning in them so by the time I added a foot pad and arch support it is PERFECT, very happy with mine. He had them listed on ebay for 35 bucks, not sure if that is the same as the website or not?

The guy also took care of me, boots for 35, pauldron 25 and shipped it all for 14 bucks. I am new to all this but I recognize a good deal and service when I find it.

I did see a classic and a pro version for the Romfx. Basically avoid these and get the basic board. Who is Jim, I'm currently looking on ebay at the Aker systems, sell for around 55 dollars.

The Romfx website says that the unit comes with a speaker, if this is the case why would you need the aker system in addition to?

Does the wireless headset come with or is that an addition? If so what brand and model do you recommend on that?

Does these two units plug into each other easily or do you have to solder them together? Where do you find the ROMFX at?

Which type Aker is preferred? Does the wire running from the mic to the speaker cause any issues or are they wireless? Really like the idea of the static burst. Do the skullworx not sound as good?

Hi Guys, Looking to join the 501st as a sandtrooper, currently in the process of building the costume now. Wanted to know what the best voice sound system is to use for a sandtrooper? I've heard of skullworx and then I've heard talk about the Aker voice system. What do most troopers prefer when it comes to the most realistic speaker system? Thanks
