  1. Hi Guys!

I´ve been working on my new TD-Armour and now it´s time to request deployment again! I tried to get very very close to the "move-along"-Trooper. The only difference is my DLT-19. Here we go:

    That was all B)

    It is an MFX-Armour, a PT (TE2) Helmet, TK-4510 Sandtrooper-Tubestripes, Vaj-Mic-Tips, Dan´s Latex-Handguards on Latex Gloves, TK-Boots, a Crashmann-Backpack and a Doopydoos DLT-19. The accurate syphon is on the way ;)

I hope, you like what i did there. I put a lot of work and love in it...

    Now it´s your turn.

    Cheers, Mike

  2. Hi

i have been working on my second TD the last weeks and i also thought, the Hovies were all black. But they are NOT!!

The mesh is black and when you take a close look to them, you can see the white colour shining through!

Here the picture.. I did not believe it too, till i got that pic and zoomed 500% in!

    It´s the original Helmet!

Hope, i could help (the move-alongs) :td:;)

    Cheers, Mike

  3. Hi,

i have one of that 10-Dollar Mask-Amps too, and I am really satisfied with it. The Battery lasts a 8-9 hours troop and I did never have any problems with feedback or Volume. Just had to remove that Breathing-Mask-Holder...

It´s a great choice for very little money..

    Cheers, Mike

  4. the link didnt work..here the next try

We were about 6,7 TDs.. that was cool! :)

And you are right..the one next to me is Jens Hartmann..

This guy is so cool..he pisses ice-cubes ;) Just the way he wears his MG-15 on his Soulder.. like "maan... let´s do this f*** parade and go home" !! I like it!! :D

  5. yeah..that was great! :)

at 2:57 the one with the white Pauldron is ME! :)

Being a Sandtrooper makes me really proud! There is no costume that is more exciting with all its weathering, the weapons and Fieldpack. I´ll never regret to made the choice to become one! And you can feel a special brotherhood between TDs... cause there aren´t that much..!

    Cheers, Mike :td:

  6. Hey man..

I also used airbrush for my weathering. And I like it a lot:

I used very thinned, water dilutalbe colors in layers and much pressure. And under that i had different colurs (black,sand..) and removed most of it with a sponge. I brushed all the corners, where the dirt would hide and removed most of it with the kitchen-sponge..the hard side (don´t know the english name for that) we call it Glitzi-Schwamm

But don´t forget: Less is more!

    Cheers, Mike

  7. OK LADIES....

today i spent half of my day with thinking about HOW i´d make my missing ammo cover-box. Finally i got an idea and just did it, before it got dark outside...

So here is the missing thing:

    Posted Image

some prop-building-romance ..now you see, why i should be a bit careful by showing my gun too obviously

and the freak who did it all:

for those, who said I should get Pouches on both sides.. i DO have them an can put them on everytime i want:

Thank you for watching and good advices!

I hope, thats all to get deployed! :td:

    Cheers, Mike "TD-7930"

  8. @ TD2298 yes, you are right! I live in the land with the bad history and the origin of many Sandtrooper´s Props B) I was in a store here in Munich where they sell real (unmilitarized) MG-34´s. They really look nice!!! And i asked the owner to give it to me, just to hold it. Man, that thing is heavy!! About 13 Kilos. So you realize really quick, what the bipod and the name MG (MaschinenGewehr) what stands for "heavy Rifle" is meant for.

Maybe i can take a picture with it, when I am there for the next time. As you know, weapons are strictly forbidden here in Germany and i hoped not to get visited by the cops, when i was painting and weathering my gun on my balcony. :) A few people looked a bit confused.A TK-friend told me, they are allowed to take your gun away,(exempt authorised events) cause it´s a "lookalike-weapon" and looks realistic. It would be a great "honour" for me as a prop-builder..so i know, i did everything right, but i want to have my DLT a little longer with me :D

I´ll try to get my ammo-cover-box finished tomorrow...

  9. Hi Guys,

it´s me again. Finally i fixed the last "mistakes" and so now I hope I am ready for this here B)

  10. Yeah... good catch man! :duim:

Thank you guys! :)That feels good...!

At the moment I am on holyday in Austria at my Grandfather´s house in the mountains.

When I am back at germany the first things i´ll do is a new good photoshooting for a deployment-request.

I still have to finish my DLT-19 and some little things..I´m looking forward to joining you!

    Thanks guys!

    Mike

  11. Hey...

today i started with the weathering of my DLT-19.. I am working with airbrush and in layers to let it look "realistic" (so i think) It´s still a long way till it is finished, but i think, i am on the right way:

    My weathered DLT-19 Nr.1

    My weathered DLT-19 Nr.2

    My weathered DLT-19 Nr.3

Honestly, i was a little sad when i realized, that the "doopydoos-DLT-19" is not complete. It is very high quality, but i still have to build that cover where the ammo goes in... Right now it looks a lil´ naked...

But now i have 3 weeks time to do that ;-)

    Mike

  12. allright... that one is done too:

cut the strips on the back side

at the moment i am working on my doopydoos-finishing, but i just started. Want so have the original brown/black metal coated-style..Not the black as it came.. and of course a lot of silver scratches..etc...

my dlt 19 still looking new

It looks like no rebels or jawas have been busted ever.... ;)

And today i got my 501st-Clearance!

My Official Name is now: TD 7930 :td:

Thanks for your compliments and critics! Anyone else found something "not right" ? I want to eleminate the mistakes hiding on my armour step by step. Cause I want to support the dirty ones on Tatooine! And that includes a big Poster showing my armour and the word "deployed" ;)

    Mike

  13. the only thing i would comment on,is the belt doesnt sit flush to the bottom of the main box on the ab plate, but an easy remedy!!!!,others may pick up thigh shim width, but you build armour to fit YOU! ( my shims are wider as im a big guy!)

    LOVE IT MATE!!!! :)B)

    Hi!

in fact, I am not very tall. I think, i got the minimal-boarder for building a TK oder TD with 170cm. It´s not impressive, when I am standing next to anyone else, but for that reason i got the armour ;-) I had to trim a lot...especially the chest plate, to see the 3 TD-knobs. Some parts (legs/arms) can not be trimmed much. Or the whole apperance of the parts gets lost. I will go on to get my problems fixed to be a proud member of the MEPD!

    :td:

    Mike
