  1. don´t use Pattex or hot glue! The last blasters of my TD Mate and my old gave up while trooping 2 days in the hot sun. We were lucky not to loose any parts. Always clean the parts before with silicon-remover or something to get the fat away from the parts. And take your time and sand it a bit. Super glue or E-6000 will work!

  2. Thanks, Noel. I just did some fine-tuning. I want the blaster look weathered and used, but not on the first view or too much. So i decided to work with glossy and flat colours, a screwdriver and a sanding-fleece and polish. Look at the scope. It is the M77-D which i modeled and painted. I polished it today and i think you can hardly see, it is not the real one. I promised to show you more pics of it. Especially in deassembled mode:

On the first pic you see the WW II Tank scope as it came: With that mould in the middle:

The M19 that was mounted is also nice, but i wanted the bigger, real one:

I think, I am finished with it now. Won´t overdo it. It is good for my Display and also for trooping. Thanks for watching! :td:

  3. Hi Guys!

I shot an old Hengstler at the bay. I couldn´t see, if its the "H" or the eagle. So i thought..no matter what, it is a win! Then the Hengstler came and i thought! O_O !!! WTF??!! There is no H, no Eagle......look yourself. Have you ever seen a Counter like that? I think, the only thing that´s missing is "haa haa haa" written in there..

    nothing but a dirt-spot! ****, MAN!

  4. @ Dan: i´ll get the pack a bit up, i see.. no problem. About the mic tips: I studied the pics a long time, and i thought as well, they were completly black. But they are NOT! They don´t have that white egdges like any other TK/TD, but when you take a closer look at this picture (of zoom in 500%) you can see, the tips are white inside! even the mesh is painted black! It takes more than just one look to see that...and a good zoom..

  5. do it. It´s defenetly a nice piece! I think i was unlucky, cause i ordered in summer when it was very hot. They told me, they had problems with the material and i had to wait a long time to get it. It broke right in the middle, where the main pieces are screwed together, but i could fix it on my own. But i was the only one with that problem. All my Garrison Mates love their doopydoos stuff. You gotta paint it on the edges after every troop, but that belongs to the whole thing. Good luck! :)

  6. I also had the Doopy´s DLT-19. It looks very nice, is a leightweight and the price is allright. Unfortunately one day it broke in the middle. (exactly when the TV-Team came to interview us) :pirate: but there are not much other choices i guess. They sell nice casts and the quality is allright. The DLT-19 is an 1:1 cast from an MG34

And it looks way better in reality than on their website!

  7. Hi Dan! The first 2 questions you answered yourself  , The exhausts i guess are both ok for S.W.A.T. Mine and yours. I didn´t hear anything, that mine was wrong. And yours looks good too. I changed some parts of my Pack, cause i ordered anoter for a friend of mine. He will denenetly NOT be in S.W.A.T and so i could take his radio-faceplate and his better looking exhaust and he got mine. I built up his pack and he was thankful. But he "only" wants to reach the 501st-standards. The pack i built for him will reach MEPD-standards without problems. And for this it is more than good. I will go down now and try to finish my pack at all. Pictures will be posted in the evening.

    Cheers, Mike

  8. Hello again.. it´s me coming out of my cellar. Amost being high of all the spraycan-smell... but i like iiiit he he..

As you can see, i am almost done with my S.W.A.T Backpack. Everything was placed accuratly, the radio was totally replaced , got a new exhaust, the rivet on the mushroom is now there, the mortar tube is replaced by an aluminum-one, the radar-dish has the black edges and the bee-stinger has a new position. All that´s missing right now is: fill and painting the holes, add the black tape on the blue tray and do my strapping. I just ordered the right Pauldron and then (i hope) will not be much, what keeps me away from my big target. I weathered the pack very carefully, to be close to the originals. So what do you guys think?

    Thanks for watching..!

    Mike

  9. allright.. for those of you who think i will never finish, what i´ve started

Some pictures of my pack at the moment. The upper black section was finished today. The blue trays still need some work and the radio too.. But i am on the right way... thanks for watching...

Posted Imageas you can see, everything was deassembled. I got a new metal frame, wich makes the whole pack much more stable. Everything was painted, the radio got a wood-corpus, to be more stable too.

Posted Imagea bit dusty from working. This is NOT the weathering :whistling:

    Next steps tomorrow!

    Good fight, good night!

    Mike
