  1. Thanks guys.

I am planning on building one, that was the plan when I started the drawings over ten years ago. Too many other things taking priority.

I'll have to see how things go once I have the drawings complete. I am completely revising the 2D drawings as I do the 3D parts. The good thing about creating 3D drawings is that it helps you plan on how to make the real thing. Then there is the whole 3D printer world that I have to learn about.

Started the parts for the rear sight made such a mess of it had to start completely over. Think I have it figured out and may have something later in the week.

Have to do some traveling to Long Beach CA so things will be slow in coming in the next few weeks.

  2. Ok it has been 10 years since I did the 2D drawing for this blaster, I figure it is about time I converted them to 3D. These drawings have developed a life of their own, I am finding them all over the net. But I can only remember sending the CAD file to 3 people and those files were never posted by me. Just amazing.

Here is what I have so far. The plan is to use 1 1/4" and 1 1/2" PVC pipe for the barrel sections, the rest will be solid models that hopefully can be printed out. I confess I do not own a 3D printer so while the models will be water tight solids, they may need some work to get them to print properly.

As always let me know what you think.

Here is the link to STL File for the part I have so far. if you have any issues please let me know. If you print these post pics.

  3. Man that just keeps getting better and better!! Fantastic work! Thank you for posting the pics. That looks so darn real.

The casting of the muzzle looks perfect. There are going to be some very lucky trooper out there. You're going to look first class carry those babies.

  4. I would be more than happy to be the focal for that project. These drawings are pretty close. I got a lot of help from a couple of guys that have real MG-34s who supplied me with pics and dimensions so the dimensions are probably with in +/- 1/8 in most places. I'll post a new version with white backgrounds later today.

I also have drawings for the MG-42, the Lewis gun, Biker Scout blaster and the clone DC-15 rifle and Carbine among others.

    Let me know.

  5. I have the digital version of the Lewis Gun user manual... with a lot of interesting close ups of elements.

Let me know if You're interested.

I am working on a set of blueprint for the Lewis Gun and could also use any help I can get. What I have so far is posted here:

Would it be possible to get a copy of the user manual as well?

If possible, please e-mail to wizardofflight@comcast.net

It would be of tremedous help.

    Thanks,

    Alan

Please note: The Lewis Gun drawings are based on the reference drawings posted on the Parts of Star Wars reference page.

As always let me know what you all think. Suggestions and constructive criticism is always welcome.

  7. Thanks. The MG34 is next. I am finishing up the MG15 and the Drum magazine and then I'll start on the MG34. I have a ton of great reference material for the MG34 that I have been sent by a number of folks around the net, I even have a scanned copy of one of the factory cutaway blueprints to work from. I have more reference material for the MG34 than all the others put together. So stay tuned.

    Way to go Alan

I'm still waiting for your MG34 drawing and measurement.

Can't wait till you finish them.
