  1. I need to bring up a touchy subject. Around the end of August I purchased something from someone and have still not recieved it. I had been told on 3 different accounts the items would be shipping, still nothing. I have recently sent 2 more messages over the last week and a half or so and now I am not getting replys. It says that they were on the forums lately. I know people get busy with work and life, I understand that, but when I keep getting told my items are shipping and nothing happens I start getting a little annoyed. I too have a full schedule with work and family, but when I tell someone their product is shipping, it's shipping. So if someone could please help me out I would appreciate it, I really want to avoid making a (Buyer Beware) thread. Please do not ask for their user name, ID etc as I will not display it on the forum. Mods I will be more than happy to answer those questions in a PM/Email.

    Thanks

    James

  2. I havent really seen much talk here about his TD armor so just wondering if anyone has it. I have his TB armor and its awesome! I've already been in contact with him for pricing and it's about the average price. I'm just looking for a backup armor maker incase TE2 is still out of the game for a bit.

    Thanks!

  3. I just wanted to let people know, especially people I have done business with. I have changed my screen name to stuntmanmike. My original screen name was tb7681. I did this so that it is the same on all forums I use. Mods if this is in wrong section please move to correct area.

    Thanks guys!

  4. After 2-3 months of researching and staring at armor kits I have finally made my decission to get TE2. I do have a couple questions to those who have purchased it. This will be my first untrimmed kit so it makes me a bit nervous. Is there any kind of instructions that come with it? And difficulty 1-10 1 being easy. Even if most say 10 I'm stilling getting it, got to learn to do this some time right... Just getting myself prepared.

    Thanks

    James

  5. I so love this!

Not only is it a great looking bucket, fantastic weathering good looking pauldron, and clean kitchen... but it's one of the first posts you've made where you don't just ask a quick question. :P hahaha

    Great job man!!!

    Seriously... very exciting!

Yeah I'm trying to find as much info as I can by myself, thanks for the compliments!

  6. Do you mean this one:

    http://imperialarmor.net/

Laws armors are really accurate, and on top of the list of the best.

If you do not know it, its was also Laws there made the TE molds back then.

But he´s new ANH Storm/Sandtrooper suit project, have been under its way for the last 3 years or so.

So if you want armor right now, i would not wait for it.

    Cheers :)

Got an email from him yesterday saying TD molds should be done this fall, so we'll have to wait and see I guess.

  7. Yes, here is info, neither favorable.

The best bet is to stay away from Ebay. Below is a list of makers that have been vetted time and again. It's not complete and we're not saying that there aren't other decent makers, but we can say that anyone on the list has been vetted for quality and service.

Imperial Armor link didn't work, so is this not good accurate armor to get then?

  8. Just realized I might have messed up by putting the full name of armor maker instead of abreviation, but thats the problem I don't know it. So if someone could PM me some info that would be great.

    Thanks

    James

    P.S.

    Mods feel free to modify.

  9. Do most of the makers of armor allow you to buy the helmet separate? And which helmet is the best one for someone with a big ole' bowling ball head like me? :D

    JB

I have the same problem, I have a TE helmet based on the "Move along" trooper so it's a little rough getting it on and off.
  10. Pack is looking good James. The mortar tube position could come up maybe an inch or two. I usually try to have mine so that the top end cap is slightly above the top trays and then I line up the top edge of the detonator plate with the top of the tray. Not sure if it's necessary. I'm a little anal with my builds and I tend to like everything to line up straight and symetrical. The packs in the movie were sort of "slapped" together, so nothing really lined up properly. I think a lot of it is personal preference.

The radar dish looks good. I've seen them very low covering the bottom end cap. I tend to like mine slightly above it. Again, personal preference.

Then again, if you are planning on going for "Elite" status, you might want to make sure your pack matches whatever specific trooper you are trying to emmulate.

The ribs on the syphon are OK. I would maybe scuff them up a little or paint them to match the syphon. They look shiny.

Thanks man, makes me feel a little better and yeah I'm going to make the ribs look not shiny.
  11. Little update. I reattached the mortar tube with the zip ties hidden, just wondering if the positioning is okay. I will re-position the radar dish as well if needed. The ribs on the syphon I'm not sure about, since I attached the syphon before putting in the ribs it was hard to get them under without having them kinda crooked, any suggestions?

  12. Question about TE and TE2 helmets, it looks like the opening on the TE2 helmets are a little bigger than the TE helemt. I have a little bigger head and my TE helmet is real tight getting it off and on so thats why I'm asking.

    Thank guys

    James

  13. Are you going to add the "ridges" to your syphon?

Also looks like you don't have the white end caps on the top and bottom of the mortar tube.

    Pack looks great so far!

Yeah I still have to put the ribs on and end caps, been trying to get ahold of crashmann for some but no answer yet.
  14. looks great.....cut 2 small holes on the top area as well as the bottom area where the zip ties are. this way instead of the ties around the tube it goes through the small holes. thats what i do....cant see the ties.

Oh ok I see, good idea thanks man!
