  1. Thanks for sharing John. So what were u signaling about? ^^;

    Hey Gordonator,

My family was saying stuff to me and I just kind of made the "what, can't hear you" gesture. With the crowd cheering and the music playing, I guess it actually was a little hard to hear. Lol. Have you been there for SWW yet?

  2. Hey,

Here is a short video of me doing a walk by the camera at the Star Wars weekends parade in June. It was nice and hot down there, but it was a blast!! I highly recommend it if you haven't marched it before! :)

  3. It looks like you are almost there.

    One suggestion though.

Could you paint those rivets on the armor securing the shoulder strap white?

I know they wont really show once you wear your paludron and shoulder pouch, but since they are not seen on the movie, I think it would be better if you "hide" them.

    Anyone think different?

    :)

    Saludos

What's up? I did have them painted white on the outside and a lot of it has worn off from trooping. I have to touch them up from time to time, I guess. :)

  4. AWESOME!

Those look better than mine! B)

Is there still a question on your hovi mics?

What are the ones you have? Are they "Correct Hovi-Mix mic tips" as the CRL states?

Hey Nol. I have the mic tips that came with my AP armor that aren't quite cannon. I'm contacting Keith for one of his mic tip sets tonight. I'm almost there.

  5. as an alternative.....i used some "mighty mend" on a project i was working on....it was elastic based material and held perfectly. Im a pop rivet and glue type of guy so anywhere i can get out of sewing im all about it. :)

Haha, I hear ya! I'm usually that way too, but I was recently using the sewing machine to put some patches on my garrison jacket, so I'm kinda in the zone. :)

  6. cool armor and pack bro. great work.

i think that buttons in black on the radio will be more beautiful but it seems that not obligatory.

something out to me : is it normal that your two parts forearm is not connected by an outer band (is this will be ok for the deployment?)

I had just done a mod the night before to give my arms a little breathing room. I didn't fasten them tight enough for the photoshoot since I wasn't used to them. Here is another pic I just took.

Here is the pic of my ammo cover and disc on my DLT-19 as well.

  7. Lookin' good man! :duim:

I will wait — as I always do — for others to chime in first of course. But the only things I have questions about are the hovi mics and cheese grater hand plates. As it's written now the trapezoid hand-plates are required for deployment. (I'm sure you have some around even if you must.) And the hovi mic tips must be "correct." I simply can't tell if yours are or not.

    Don't do anything yet though!

Let us see what others say and go from there. B)

    Anyone else have thoughts?

    (oh yeah, nice gun!!) ;)

    Hey Nol,

How are you? I do have a dirtied up set of trapezoid hand plates I can switch out with the cheese graters. Here they are. Let me know if you need me to wear them with the rest of the armor.
