Guess I need to read more. I can have a few as nine stripes. 13 it is. Thanks for the replies Inglorious Trooper.
-
Didnt know if it would crowd the stripes too much. I was hoping to hear if anyone else with an ATA helmet had difficulties.
-
BTW quick response. thanks

Yes sir

Finally getting the helmet together and was cutting out the template Pandatrooper has floating around and ran into a snag. Its too big for my helmet. I can only get about 13 stripes to show. Do I just use it like it is or do I resize it. I wasnt sure if resizing the tubes would make them too short. Any advise?

Could I trouble for a parts list for the drum magazine? The whole build is very clean. Now get it dirty.

I had about 1/2in difference, and Im still fighting the ears

Im going for the Alley/Falcon take off V2. Im not finding very many good pics, but I read on Starwarshelmets.com that there were only 6 sandtrooper helmets made for ANH. Any idea if the V2 helmet was used in as another trooper with better pics?

Your tutorial is what gave me enough courage to start cutting my kit.

There has been no update for my phone ( I dont think ever ). I have an infuse.

I have the same problem. Maybe its an android thing. Some pics I can see others not.

I've just decided to go with a wide shim on the back. I'm using e6000, and if I don't like the results I'll just pull it apart and try and reshape then. The armor is ABS. Its good to be warned about the heat gun. I have used it with sintra, but have limited experience with ABS.
I appreciate the advice yall have offered.

Ok no heatgun. Im just not sure if I should shim the bicep that much. My arms are not that big. The piece is just a strange oval shape.
Did anyone else with ATA armor have this problem. I have read several builds and can remember only one person that had difficulty.
-
I work out of town so tonight I will try and do the calves. The left biceps is way too tight. Its ATA armor the left side. The front shim is actually 3/4". The back will need to be over 1 1/4" to fit. Should I use a heat gun to round out the oval shape? Or should I just shim it big in the back?
-
This works for me. Thanks for the reply.

I have a little problem and can use advise. On my lower leg the front shim is 15/16. The back will have to be about 1 3/4". Should I increase the front shim to balance the back out or just shim it at 1 3/4.

I recognise the coupler, what is the round piece on the coupler with the groves?
Oh yea the dewback, the rebels were doing one a while back.
-
Two Sandys and a R2. I'm sure I will have to paint an orange pauldron black.
-
Not sure yet. Work has been keeping me too busy here lately. Ill look at it shortly.
-
Oh yea. Blew the side out. I used too much too fast.
-
Well I used too much expanding foam....
-
Good to know. I dont onow if I should take off what is on there now or just wait for it to blow and replace as needed.
-
Its filled with expanding foam now. The guy I got this from said he only had one more and he was going to use it for himself. Keep looking though, this one took me by suprise when I saw it for sale.

Sounds good. We get temperatures in the upper 90's with high humidity.I thought I remember hearing a Fett talk about the volcro.
Thanks

I have about 1/2" difference between sides. I can go 13 on left and 14 on right as it is. I really can't open the helmet up anymore. Im at the edge on the inside.
