  1. Hi mate, Many thanks, I did look at that and saw the humbrol link I wondered if we had a spray equiv UK and wanted to know what the UK guys use, so I don't look like the odd guy :-) if you know what I mean i know there is some debate aboutecolour but if I look the same as the guy next door i will be happy. Best wishes gra
  2. Hi all I realise I have been asking a lot of questions, that is because I wanted to get all or most together. Now I have nearly all the pack, i am asking I probably could match a sreen cap of the blue for the trays, but as i hope to troop I would hate to look out of place. Is there a UK prefered Blue as also for the stinger Many thanks Gra
  3. I would trade you a few bits ( lid) for one of your other hobby bits :-)
  4. I promise you- I started with only a blaster. Bought on a ferry from Jersey ( less tax)-amazing things will happen from now on :-)
  5. Pat, I have seen your talent, you did wonders with the cooper angles- another respect PM me in Nov, if not used by then it is yours Gra

  8. Hi all, I am in now a big mix, as I started collecting bits for my TD pack about 10 years ago, before I even joined this site. The only site I knew of was UK prop forum- a site I owe a lot too. I have just built my frame the eaxct measurements that Quatermaster provided I must say, as will be seen his measurement match a boyscout frame EXACTLY Smally has also been a great help. I had this frame that I bought at the time I started and abused a but as I had no direction at the time to angles etc. it was purchased at a 70s ruck sacy, i paid £20 with the sack, not used as of yet The original bend is well about 1/4 from bottom and I removed the bars. I will have to add the bend again at the correct position My question is do i stick with my PVC or my original My Crashman trays show scale As I did not know scales a did not know if it was the right size, a tribute to Qm as it is so close. Also ther were no trays available I must admit, I do like the fact that it is plastic knocking the back of my armour rather than metal, logevity was not an issue in the films As always my best wishes gra
  9. Vader does state 'Send a detachment down to retrieve them , see to it personally Commander...' As stated above Makes me think they were sent especially, probably straight from another Op. Or Vader does not keep track of every deployment at soldier level, he leaves that to his Commanders. It just so happens that a detachment was already there for some reason ( previous Op- troubles-occasional check of locals) and were utilised Regards
  10. Thanks to all and Cheers Woody really appreciated. Will do some more this weekend Best wishes
  11. Many thanks mate, as I said before SUPERB Thanks for the link also, I like alot and will be following this to redo mine Very best wishes
  12. Always find room my firend. Thanks very much, I will give it a go as I think it will really set Vader off. Thanks buddy and best wishes
  13. Hi Rolf, you have inspired me for a long long time. The trooper you see is my old one and will soon be dirty ( its's my 4th owned) The ab plate on the floor and chest are spares-have a few extras too. I have a TM in the loft, the lid parts are what you can see on the pics. That will be my museum piece So much to do and so litle time-but every day is a new challenge. I make sure of that Best wishes Gra
  14. There is still a lot of work to do and thank you, I will try to do the best radio I can and already have made some major changes. Speaker pegs are to be redone correctly and speaker backing will be dipped from centre out as in original I must thank Woody as he is really keeping me motivated and has a lot of knowledge When it is done I hope MEPD members will find in favourableb Best wishes graham
  15. Hi all I am now more on track now I have my boxes, thanks Cahrlie, here in 4 days :-) We all UK guys get stung with post and Tax, so I started to make my own radio. I realised that because I like to refine and I needed more of 1 or 2 pieces, it was easier to make moulds THIS IS NOT FOR SALE AT THE MOMENT-I am just showing wher i am so far I spoke to Woody and he supported me as I asked if I would offend, All is scratch built, what you are seeing is only stage 2 from the master sculpt. The resin pieces will now be refined and details added. I really wanted to get the dial rim close and that took a while to make and mould correctly. Frames around speaker are all plastic cut and trimmed and laid in srips. I aim to do all the pieces as either seperate so you can fix to a box of your choice, or as a full front plate, which will come with an added extra The bottom speaker section will always be one piece cast plate, so you don't need to worry about placing the bits like I did Prices will be cheap, about £35-£45 UK and that includes postage, depending on what you want ( full back plate or just lower plate and bits) Please let me know your comments. This is no the finished piece(s), I have another month to do at least but I hope you like Pics now, backwards from where we are now to 1st master Thank you. When done I will make a radio from the test pieces and aution for MEPD. Regards Gra
  16. Mate, that is brilliant, can i ask what tool you needed to get the curved top/ cut outs. I have posted my collection on here but have wanted that behind my Vader for ages, can you help. I am ok with plastic and painting but not too good with wood. ta mate gra
  17. Hi Wolf, Your title has also become very clear. Superb. As a serving man I appreciate all history, somtimes I think we are lucky ( looking at those weapons and what it must have took to yield) and sometimes not so sure if you know what I mean. I have saved your page, are you a member of http://www.timelinesforum.com/index.php?page=philkessling http://planetfigure.com/ We would appreciate any of your knowledge and it's an iteresting forum here is one of the stock figs I did-closer to your era of choice I think Best wishes mate graham
  18. When I go in my attic its like my own shop Actually the attic one is a bit out of date as i think I have doubled it, yikes that is bad. i also have a box of my military figures which some are rare but now I sculpt I don't paint many stock. There is definately not enough hours in the day. I am 38 and wish i could retire now. I must admit I have made an effort now to finish some things and do a little each day, either SW or models. i found the trick is to do the less interesting things first, then the more detailed and inspirastion needed work is ready when you want to paint/sculpt etc. Thanks for looking, now can i see what others collect PS I also keep tropical and soon Marine fish
  19. Sshhhhhhhhhhhhhh Don't tell the wife, she doesn't go in the the attic Just kidding, she is supportive, well just lets me get on with it
  20. Hi all Can I see your collections, any type. here's mine after did a bit of tidying at the weekend, would never believe it though. LIFE IS JUST TOO SHORT Best wishes

  22. Hi all I have now got tha boxes ( thanks Crashmann) and have nearly everything to finish my pack. I am using PVC pipe and have a bending tool for the angles. Could I please have help with the dimensions. I mainly need length( to bend and aftr) and width, also angle dgree for bend. Many thanks as now this is the only thing stopping me. Best wishes Graham
  23. Hi mate, I made them myself following Karins tutorial Masters in box for moulding After moulding broken masters, but repairable here is the link also http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=14285&st=0&p=172933&fromsearch=1entry172933 Its all thanks to Sonnenschein (Karin) though A true star
  24. SUPERB Is there any Hasbro left ? Looks to me you have scratchbuilt the near perfect blaster I have saved the pics if you don't mind. Thanks mate, really really looks the part. Gra
  25. The dirt in the crevices is great, really really good. Just need a dark overall filter to blend the white to dark and i think it will be great. Mix a really thinned umber/dirty brown and pass over everthing in a thin wash, if too weak let it dry and do again- less is more. Mate, I think you are really on the right track and weathering can be done in so many different ways, NO one thing or method is right. All it needs is pulling together, many different tones, scuffs etc Best wishes Gra
