Hey Aj, can you tell us the measurement of the binders and weight? Thanks!
3 1/2 inch outside (not counting tabs, 4 inch with tabs)
3 inch inside.
Little over 7 1/2 inch long from one cuff to the other.
weighs about 6-7 ounces. (about half the weight of a 12oz soda, I don't have a precise measurement system ;p)

I know someone posted a picture before, and at some point I might do something similar for non-canon events. I would mount my E11 on the left side of the backpack (where the “laboratory pipe” would be). I was considering making some kind of fancy bracket / rare earth magnet attachment so that the blaster points upwards, then “clicks” into place.
Very cool idea, have to keep that in mind when I get my pack done.

So I know that TDs don't wear them, however; I don't want to carry my E11 around all the time at cons (and I where non cannon stuff anyway) My question is which side do you guys put them on? I know ANH is left side whilst ESB and ROTJ are on the right.
I just replaced my belt and my old holster setup was on the right side, it however; was really hard to get back into the holster with my pouch being right there as well. I'm right handed, but drawing and possing left handed would not be a problem I've played around a bit and it makes the e11 look a bit better (see the clip, etc)
What do you guys think? Those with holsters, what did you do? Pictures?

Found a copy of this and I must say it is a lot better then anything LF put out.

you gonna add a flashlight, pepper spray and tazer gun too??
Maybe =/ Need to get some rubber seals to put on mag light...
-
Hang tight Michael, I have a cool way to mount them
Hanging on as tight as I can. I might break something! HURRY!

Binders??? other than a clean TK, you won't find any screen shots with TD's wearing them. Besides, with the ammo pouch, French pouch and Pack, their isn't really any room for them at least not for me.
You kidding? I'm going to have loads of non cannon stuff on my belt! Out in the desert we have to be prepared for anything!

I'm in the same boat, my pack weighed down the elastic on my back plate so I switched to canvas. Maybe I'll use both layered on top of each other
Here's how I rigged mine up with canvas over elastic, elastic not shown. The holes are where snaps go.

Thanks for sharing Michael, I really really like what you did there with the magnets. Making it adjustable is brilliant!
btw, do you always play with super strong magnets so close to your computer?
lol babies a beast It's a Sager 9262 (Desktop Replacement, this thing on your lap would destroy you) It's built to take some pretty wicked abuse (which apparently includes magnets hanging out right outside it.)

Example of a weathered pair:
Example of magnet replacement, also multi-strength settings (I like mine to have a strong grip, but I can half the grip if dealing with a children's event for safety.) The magnet is glued in using E6000.
Full Strength:
Half (child) Strength:

yes....under and its waitstband elastic....available at your local fabric store
when i did mine i actually put a snap top on the first layer and then i attached a second layer over it...hiding the snap. the snap top is used to attach my shoulder bells.
Before my photoshoot today I took my top mounted canvas off and put some under my armor but over the black elastic straps that hold my front and back together. Works well.
I'll look into finding some elastic next time I'm out.

Sense the was empire defeated what have you guys been up to? I took a daytime job as a trash man.
(Picture taken during my 501st acceptance shoot, hopefully my suits up to par.)
-
Having not see one that close before, I actually have my straps over my armor as apposed to under them, I'll have to fix that.
-
So I'm thinking of redoing mine, can some one that thinks they have a good setup take some pics and show theirs? Most people have them covered up by pouches and paulderons so I've not been able to get a good look at one, and mine feels subpar.

I noticed C3PO has a silver right shin & foot. How have I never noticed this before?!
-
So I recently got a pair of binders and was wondering if any one has an example of how they should be stored on the belt, I can't find any info.

I'm actually working on an Iron Man suit, so I respect the super hero thing and everybody's a fan of scantly clad women.
It's just the IE thing, that's not normal man... You need to get that checked out, **** could be cancer.

Bring it on! While I like FF from a user standpoint IE is in my experience far easier to code against. Just wait for IE9
(though I confess I wish MSFT would just end development of IE and start fresh with a new browser that does not bring forward all the old hacks introduced by trying to make IE work like Netscape last decade).
You just said crazy things, super, ridicules crazy things.

Who's going? I'm excited! First time I'll see the 501st in person.

Haha... calm down. I was just tweaking stuff and had removed it for a second.
All is right with the universe... should be back now.
