  1. Ahem, reading between the lines... I suspect I know who bought the molds... how much will shipping be from The Islands to CONUS, Guns?
  2. From my fingers to my knees... I think I'm turning Japanese!
  3. I know that Dean Plantamura- TK 0899 aka "tuskentrooper" has been EXCELLENT at getting things like this taken care of! He got my photos posted to the member gallery when everything else seemed to be stagnant, maybe give him a try, he's one of the nicest guys around and most effective at helping to navigate through stupid roadblocks like this! Here's his email address: tusken@multiplehat.com You have been an excellent member on this forum and you deserve better than what you are getting from your "CO"!! Keep us posted and GOOD LUCK!!
  4. Action figures.... LMAO!! You know... you're RIGHT!! Yup, I'm quite happy with it, I was pretty excited to get it!
  5. Hey all, I got one of Bill's Lewis Guns delivered on Friday (just in time for our Garrison photo-shoot today!) I must say, that even though I bought Bill's proto-type, I am impressed with it. I think the proposed changes Bill is considering in his casting will improve an already excellent specimen. The critical detailing on the reciever is EXCELLENT, and IMO is the most important thing to get right. The thing is LIGHT, given it's size, and I walked around with it craddled in my left arm for a few hours straight. I also managed to accidently drop the thing from waist-high and didn't even phase it! I'll get around to weathering it and putting personal touches on it soon enough, LOL. In the first photo I'm on the far right of one my wife took after the professional photographer moved out of the way, LOL. The T-21 (Lewis Gun) is DEFINATELY impressive looking, and it turned MANY, MANY heads of passersby today, not to mention drew compliments from my garrison mates! In the Second Photo I'm second from the right, and is a good comparison to a PVC built Lewis Gun, what a difference! I FULLY endorse and recommend this item, and will put the word out. GOOD JOB BILL!!:y: I couldn't be happier with it!! Now I have all the stuff for MEPD requirements... WOOT!! (edited for a STUPID typo! )
  6. Nah. He'll just have *you* carry it. OH BOY!!!.... I can be armor be-atch!
  7. As far as I know there is no location requirement. You just have to have your armor converted to the proper specifications is all. You should also get a 501st Legion membership if you don't already hasta la vista!
  8. COOL paint job!! Just gotta get that ab plate converted now!!
  9. I live in Woodburn, OR. I use acrylics that I got from Wal-Mart. They have a huge selection, and I use 4 different colors; two are browns, one an orangish, and I think one is a tad yellowish. I recomend you use at least three colors because you can mix up custom shades as well. I have trooped a couple of times and my paint is not affected at all, plus just like Mike said, hot water and a stiff sponge and you can start over if you mess up or get bored with your pattern. My avatar picture is my actual armor ATM. Feel free to PM or email me, I'm in the local 501st unit in your area and can hook you up with armor, and help you with materials and advice. I'm already helping "irob972" from Seaside, OR You can also check out www.cloudcitysquad.com , we're having a photoshoot this Saturday as well.
  10. Hey Bill, Got your email, I can hardly wait to get that bad boy! If you sent it off today, then it should be here by Friday at the latest since you are in AZ shipping to OR. Hope the photo-shoot on Saturday was fun for you, ours is this comming Saturday, be sure to post your pics, and I'll post mine too!! later!
  11. What an ADORABLE baby! I have 3 boys & 3 girls, lets talk headaches! So did you name her "Wonder Beauty-Fututure-Headache Caomhanach"?
  12. Mine turned out to look EXACTLY like the ones in Jim's pictures, I'm really happy with them now. I wound up taking a B&D "mouse sander" to the 3-pouch as the brand new green finish was almost like a "vinyl" that dye wouldn't take too, plus I REALLY hated the "exagerated" bumps of the "pebble grain". TD1043- stick to it, you gotta let that dye set on that leather for a while, then buff it out, then re-coat, etc. I lightly sanded, then applied 4 coats of dye, then actually put a thin coat of black Kiwi shoe polish on them and brush shined them. Now I'm in the process of figuring out how to "wear" these things too, LOL!
  13. I'm a former Army Infantry Drill Sergeant, so OF COURSE I just have to wear the white one!!
  14. Yeah watch what you carry! You better use a wheelbarrow to carry your armor in for a while!
  15. It's HORRIBLE!! The WORST I've ever seen!! You should send it to me!! Just kidding, it looks fantastic!
  16. Will that set you back from having any available this by this weekend like you mentioned? LOL
  17. Hey Bill, Thanks for that info! Consider one of those babies SOLD!! I'll be watching this forum CLOSELY so I can snag one up. I believe I still have your PayPal account in my transaction history from the diamond sniper knee plates I got from you. I also don't mind if you send me one that is totally disassembled, as better than half the fun for me is building and assembling this stuff anyway! Listen to me... talking like I already have one on the way... LOL! Looking forward to POUNCING on one of these! It's the final thing I need for my MEPD deployment.
  18. OK, I get yer meaning now! Just curious, when you ship these out will there be any assembly required, other than putting the two halves together that you show in the earlier pictures and maybe weathering it? No worries either way, just curious.
  19. Do you think you will still offer the two piece version after you rebuild your molds? I really dig having that option to break it down for transporting!

O-M-G! Can you hear the banjo music, the barn yard animal squealing, and the hillbillies gruntin'? LMAO
  22. 1x2 pine it is, thanks! Your 3 1/2-pouch turned out like mine did, very nice! I'm still thinking about hammering out some of the raised pebble grain on that 3-pocket pouch though.
