if you are going to directly glue it to the thigh, be sure you have the correct length of elastic. You can always carefully peel off the e6000 - but it is not easy!

definitely gotta lift the belt a little... that should be easy. lifting the thighs will be a little harder. I am going to try to decrease the return edge at the top of the leg - otherwise I am going to have to open up the back of the legs to make the shim at the back wider on the upper leg pieces. Those are the only pics I took. Just suited up quick with what I had done so far. The pouches are also seen here http://forum.mepd.ne...138#entry137359 so far my check list includes lower belt ( I think adding some velcro will do it. raise (possibly enlarge) thighs adjust strapping between back plate and kidney piece add rubber handguards find my TKboots (those are my old "darkside" trooperboots) straighten the left bicep - may need to strap it to the shoulder bell to keep it from spinning. add rivets to left side gap. (I may still need to take a little off the kidney piece first... I want to be sure the size is right before adding rivets) adjust the closure system on the lower legs adjust the right forearm. may need to make it a little smaller - maybe just add some padding (it seems to slip down) weather everything build my dirtyboy pack finish my MG15

Thanks! the pack kit from you is still waiting for me too! looking forward to building it

(Above pic was my first approval as animated clone... See below when I added color, pistols, and bandoleer) missing my earring in that pic... woops yep... RL too Not my complete Heisenberg costume, but you get the idea. TD is in progress!

I got a long ways to go:

What pouches are currently allowed for 1 - basic 501st 2. deployed 3. SWAT I know SWAT has to be the exact match of the right pouch. for Basic 501st and MEPD deployed - can a French Pouch still be allowed? ( I think i remember a MEPD deployed thread a few months ago with a French pouch)

I think most of what I was looking for was http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/gallery/ also alot on RS facebook page Thanks

Ack! CRL does not allow for move along tube stripes!
tk5144 replied to rhapsodyred99's topic in Sandtrooper Armor
What is the process for changing the CRL? Would there be any argument against the change that would allow the move along tube stripe arrangement to be 501st accepted? I have heard the argument against some other forms of on screen things not being approved.... for instance the TK with no tube stripes. I think 16 tube stripes is fine tho. Is there ever any with as little as 9 stripes? -
Sorry, I thought this would be easier to find... tried the search, but coming up empty. Is there a link to the pics from the original RS suit and the pics from the LFL archives somewhere? Thanks!

a recent post in another topic showed a picture of a helmet, without the ears. The S-trim was attached so that the start and stop gap of the s-trim would have been hidden under the ear-piece. is this the typical position? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v171/the_prop_master/42a.jpg

is the left side pouch a French ammo pouch? I have a hard time telling the diffrence from a Spanish pouch.

tkboots - new vs old model
tk5144 replied to tk5144's topic in Pouches, Pauldrons, and other Accessories
is there a side by side picture of a new versus old? I sent email to tkboots. they dont have any comparison pics -
I thought MOT was TE2 recast?
-
FX / AM never seemed to care too much about accuracy in the past. It seems that issues such as fitting oversized troopers and ease of assembly were more important. Even now, to make a 2 piece cap-n-back seems counterproductive if the goal is accuracy. So why would they now want to recast only some parts of RS? Something doesn't add up.

Tk boots says that "Our newly designed boot features a taller upper and a more slightly rounded toe. The elastic height is perfect, not too high, not too low." http://www.tkboots.com/TK%20Boot%20Images.htm has anyone compared an older model of the tkboots with the newer? (I have one of the early ones) Anyone have an old tkboots and a newwer one they can photograph side by side?

wow.

is it possible that it was cast with RS permission? Hope we find out.
