one of the best looking NE helmets I have seen built... well done!
-
if you can get the TKboots that's the best... but your second one listed looks OK.
also could try

i can not access the sandtrooper section of the forums either.
-
teeth look OK to me. you MIGHT take just a tiny bit... like half a millimeter more out of the teeth holes.
eyes look fine to me
dont worry about the ears
-
i think the ears look good
take a closer picture of the teeth, but I think you could trim just a little more out of the teeth
-
how about pinstripe around the grey part of the ears?
a little too much grey for my taste on the frown (makes it look like lips are painted, instead of just the teeth)
-
that looks like TKboots to me

Thanks!
I am slowly working on the pack.
Once that is done, will try to get deployed!
-
i think the lands end is good.
I would defer to input from one of the command staff, though.
Clearly the Lands end boot is more accurate than the Bass Amsterdam that many are using from Amazon.com
-
i love that trooper

I just got the good news from my GML that I am approved as a TD!
I still got a long ways to go,
Next step for me is working on the pack.
I got a few parts painted this week.

can I get "sandtrooper" access?
-
Do you guys think the ears could use some more trimming?
I would leave it as it is.
looks good to me.
We have a saying in surgery - "the enemy of good is better."

take some extra plastic laying around over lap it and glue the lower part to the inside of the bucket then use bondo or epoxy and smooth it out .... thats the best idea i can come up with
I think you can glue a strip of scrap abs to the inside of the helmet to cover up that gap.
Also, when you put the ears on it might cover that gap a little
-
It is amazing to me how clean the armor looks in the photos.
I used Fuller's earth and it looks nice and dirty in person..... I might add a little more, but I don't want to over do the weathering.

Sale is up at the 501st section. Check it out.
Only doing the 10" for now. Small patch will probably be done later this year.
Any word on doing the small patch?

is there any American alternative boot? everyone of those I look at comes from Europe

both are close
not perfect matches.
absolutely they are good for 501st
The Bass ones are NOT good enough for EIB or centurion over on FISD due to the slightly squared off toe.
I don't know on the lands end

awesome

-
But it's currently not a requirement for police officer or SWAT
What?!?!?! I figured that would for sure be needed for SWAT

is the lower tray always 5 ribs and upper tray always 3 ribs?

are those the tube stripe decals that came with the NE helmet?
do the tube stripes look a little thin?
