OK, just in case the package doesn't arrive in time, is there an alternative to Fuller's Earth? If so, what's the standard?
-
Just curious on if you need to actually paint white ABS with white paint or just do the weathering on top of the white ABS considering it is a Sandy.
Thoughts?

Thanks all! It worked well. I threaded the backpack strap through the loops on the back of the pouch and then secured it to the strap with black Velcro.

Thank you everyone. I was originally going through Trooperbay, but he communicated that they were going through a move and wouldn't get my order out for some time. WIth trying to get the armor done for Dragon Con, I was looking for alternate sources. Thankfully, Trooperbay said that he can get it to me now.

Thanks everyone! I'll try this tonight when I get home.

Do you attach this to the pauldron or to the shoulder straps of the armor? Is there a best practice as to how?
Thanks!

Hoping to get my TD done in time for Dragon Con. Where can I find the Fuller's Earth colors super fast?
Thanks!

Robert that would work but usually I use a standard rivet with a washer behind for that one. The split rivets are hard it install at that location usually.
Crud, I just ordered the rivets from Trooperbay. Are those the standard rivet you speak of or are those split rivets as well. All I really know are pop rivets.

Do you sell the dials on the radio? Or is that a commonly found item?
-
Does this work for the MP-40 as well?
-
Will these work for the ammo boxes on the lower right thigh or is that a different rivet?

Thanks for the input guys! Now I'm trying to find the ab plate detail for the three buttons that are off center.

PM sent!

Also, does the canvas belt and plast ammo box belt get centered or are they grounded at the top edge?
Thank you for your assistance!

Hi all! I'm struggling through a few things and would love some help. I've check CRL's, photo references, other trooper's builds, etc. and am still lost on the belt. I know, it's pretty straight forward, except I have pieces from the AM kit that are confusing me. It seems like I have two waist belts to choose from (not counting the leg ammo box belt) and then the rivet covers, but another piece that looks like either rivet covers you cut out or it is the ab plate three dot cover. Seeing as I can't find anything else for the ab plate three button deal, I'm confused.
Also, does the canvas belt and plast ammo box belt get centered or are they grounded at the top edge?
Thank you for your assistance!

Thank you very much!

Anyone know of a good contact for these two items? My friend who has a TD advised me to go this route if I want to be MEPD with the TD I am building.

Felix, thank you very much for the reply. Can you please expand upon the wire around the radio?
My problem right now is even getting the radio plate off.
Thanks!
Hi Robert,
1) Check movie references. Thats the best way.
2) yes it is:-) i would just reinforce the box with attaching an Aluminium band inside the box where the t-track are attached
3) oh, there is no golden way. i cut mine and glue them together again.
For your radio try earth magnets and don't forget the wire around the radio for fixing the plate.
Cheers,
Felix

Hey all, I am starting a TD build and am assembling the pack while waiting for the armor to arrive. While mostly done, I have to connect the tube/dish sub assembly to the pack. The same for the stinger and I also need to get straps. Any help with the questions below is greatly appreciated.
1.) Is there a standard for how far down the tube the radar dish is placed? I've seen different ones where the dish overhangs the end of the tube and just the opposite.
2.) Is attaching the stinger as simple as using the two L-brackets that came with the pack?
3.) I bought a cheap back pack for straps per some comments in another thread. However, I am wondering how to attach the straps to the pack at the top. THe backpack I bought from Wal-mart has the straps sewn right to the backpack at the top. Cut them and then what?
Any idea on how to get the radio face off? A fellow TD here in the Great Lakes Garrison has the same pack as me and his face comes off. I tried an Exacto with no luck and it doesn't seem to just pull off.
Thank you very much!
Weather your pauldron and pouches or leave au natural?

I'm curious if people do weather them or leave them as is. If they weather them is it the same method with hair spray and fullers earth or something else?
