  1. Maj_H, My Kidney belt is basically a wide nylon belt I had lying around. The kind some surplus had lot in stock of and very affordable. As for my two Main Boxes, they're actually cheap plastic DVD cases from local Walmart type store here. Cost me a total of what, $10.00? LOL! Hope this helps. Stay safe. Tim.
  2. Hiya Maj_H, Bein one of the few Sandies with an ALICE Pack Framed Sandpack, lets see if I can help you out... First up, no mods will be necessary for the frame. It will be used as is, and fully utilizing the existing attachment points for your shoulder straps and kidney belt. The used of the kidney belt would be to protect you butt armor from any major scratchings/'chaffing'. Point to note, my shoulder straps are 2 pieces with an attachment buckle. This will allow me to slide the upper half 'into/inbetween' my chest plate and ab armor and snap it close with the bottom half. This is done so as to hide the straps from being seen. If you need any more pics or info, LMK. Stay safe and good luck! Tim.
  3. You'll like bein dirty...it's so bad but it feels so good. Stay safe. Tim.
  4. That's right. That's what I'm using and if you 'strap' it correctly, it won't really scratch up your armor. I think my back armor is still the cleanest part of my entire suit. LOL! Tim.
  5. That is one sexy pack, love the colors...nice work! Tim.
  6. IanL, I agree, nothing beats building your own personalized pack. The time and effort you put into the construction, not to mention the store to store trips, sourcing for parts will allow you to really appreciate the pack once it's done. You can honestly and proundly say, I did this...with some help. [TE thanks again for the Radioplate.] Side note, see the airpump I'm using? Last part I needed to complete my pack. Couldn't find a correct item to use till one day I was grocery shopping and came across a party ballon pack for kids. Cost me a whole $3.00. LOL! Stay safe. Tim.

    Pack Width

IanL, ALICE pack frames are about 12'' across. Hope this helps and good luck! Stay safe. Tim.
  8. Thanks guys. Thant's affirmative, Radio Faceplate is from TE and about the only thing that was bought as is. IanL, the CD cases [doubling as my main boxes] I got from a departmental store called Carrefour here in Singapore. You might wanna try Walmart for alternatives. Paid about $5.00ea for both cases. A real steal. Hope this helps. Stay safe. Tim.
  9. Hey Sandys, Here's my take on the Sandpack. It's almost 2 years old now...and hasn't let me down yet. Made around my old ALICE Pack Frame using cable ties, it's got old school water bottles, toilet plunger system, cheap ballon air pump, 2x CD Cases, PVC pipe, CDR Case Base, misc sized tupperware boxes and TE Radio Pack frame. I have however upgraded the straps and am in the midst of installing a simple speaker system for both my Headset/Voice Amp and my iPod. Here we go... Thanks for looking. Stay safe. Tim.
  10. Hey Guns, Sorry about the lack of comms, work has been **** lately...and getting to the end of year projects isn't giving me much time to do much of anything at all. I've got alot of wear and tear around my Sniper Plate, Knee Power Cell Belt, Ammo Belt, Groin and buttplate has major cracks and stress factures. The amount of times I got clipped by the cracks around my lower region is just too many... Wearing the suit every weekend during the month of May for EP3 and the Thailand Fox EP3 Sponsored Trip to Bangkok didn't help too... Until Matt goes with FG, I'm gonna take a breather and let my Sandy rest. I love it too much to 'destroy' it further. Styrene is just alittle too fragile and painful for the heart. Sure I could go with another [ABS Suit], but I've always been a fan of TE's and will always remain true to the 'expert'. Stay safe. Tim.
  11. Hey Troopers, The Art of Star Wars exhibition held in Singapore just opened yesterday and the 501st and Movie Mania Singapore were tasked to provide Escort/Guard Duty for the launch. Besides the regular Imperials on duty, TE's ANH and ROTJ [older] were on hand to thrilled the crowds...and Singapore's President Nathan. FYI, this will probably be the last time I'll be wearing my ANH...after this it's going onto a mannequin and staying there...too much damage done. Enjoy: Stay safe. Tim.

    How old?

Lived through the Original Trilogy...I'm 34. Stay safe. Tim.
  13. Based off the Experts around, I attached my shoulder pouch to my Sandpack over the left shoulder. Simple connection, single strap through/under my Sandpack frame and the lower bit goes under my left arm and allows the pouch to sit on my shoulder bell at an angle. Catch is, I can't use it without a Sandpack. Mods I did to the pouch was removing the angle straps and installing a snap and button arrangement. For attachment to my Sandpack, i used a longer elastic strap with buttons on each end that snapped onto the pouch after securement on the Sandpack. Here are some pics. Mods. Here's what it looks like after installing/worn: Hope this helps somehow... Stay safe. Tim.
  14. Howdy Troopers! Greetings from the little Isle of Singapore! Name's Timothy Lucas T...am not kidding, Lucas is my middle name. Am 34, a Training and Service Consultant with a Coffee Boutique here in Singapore. Been a fan since I caught ANH in 77 when I was a little lad and have been hooked since! Always wanted to be a Stormtrooper after the Blockade Runner Scene and that only happened 20 years later in 97. Bought my first FX suit then...IT WAS HUGE ON ME [i'm 5'5...LOL! And yes, I get all the "Aren't you a little short" qs...LOL!], upgraded to an older TE ROTJ a few years later. Sold that off and now am the proud owner of my third and final armor, a TE ANH Suit! TD6325 Reporting In:- CO Bucket & FX Armor, 1997 CO Bucket & TE ROTJ Armor, 2003 TE ANH Stunt & Armor, 2005 Just wanna report in and say it's finally nice to back in 'Camp' with my fellow Sandys. Was pulling Escort Duty for Lord Vader in May during EP3 and am still doing so... Anyways, hope to get to know all you Sandys a little better soon. Stay safe. Tim.
