feh... I don't do events for freebies, so no skin off my back, man. I was happy to just do the event and have our hotel paid for.

Yupperz! Then send 'em my way!
I'd like to get a bunch of these done first and then send them to Josh to get them posted all at once so git 'em goin'!

Okay, troopers. Now is the time for the ball to get rolling on this. If you meet the requirements for "Deployed" status, I need good, clear, high rez photos from the troopers who are ready to deploy. It would be best if they're the most current photos you can get. I'll need the usual. One dynamic/action pose with helmet on, one helmet off.
Please send all photos to:

Be sure to put "MEPD Deployment" in the subject line.
Motman, so far it doesn't look like I'll need it yet, but if I get swamped with these things, then I will be certain to take you up on your kind offer! Thanks!

Okay, I've been talking to Joshua and I think we've come up with a battle plan. Since he's pretty busy with school and everything, I've offered to lighten the burden for him by prepping all the photos for the new upcoming "Deployed Troopers" area of MEPD.net.

The Mos Eisley Police Department requirements that a Sandtrooper wanted to be Deployed must have:
Flat Lenses
Backpack
MP40 or 38 ammo pouches,
BFG (Either the Lewis 21, MG15, or the MG34 type)
Diamond Knee plates
Sandtrooper Stomach plate*
most important: GET DIRTY
* Sandtrooper Stomach plate is not currently a requirement but soon will be, until you can get the correct plate you will need to remove the black buttons on your current ab plate.
Here's a quick sample of what they'll look like...

The deployment area is being worked on guys. Please give us some time to hammer it all out, and when we're ready to deploy you dirty dogs, we'll make the announcement.
-
Joshua, drop me a PM sometime so we can figure out what we're doing here.
Thanks,
-
That's something I need to talk to Joey about. Due to my comnputer crash which kept me out of the loop for about two months, I have no idea what the battleplan was.
Once I find out what the layout/format is going to be for that area, I'll be able to start getting pics from everyone and getting the whole area updated.
Again, I need to talk to Joey about all of this so we know what's going on, but once I find out what we're doing, the next step is implimenting it all so it works.

Greetings, Mike!
Well, since you're now signed up, go ahead and post some photos of yourself in your sandtrooper gear in the "photos" section of the site!
As for patches, if you have two Old Line patches, I'd be willing to trade you an MEPD and a Dune Sea Garrison patch. I need two of eveything because the Admiral (my wife) is collecting too!
Welcome aboard!
-
Very nice, as per the norm, Brak'sBuddy. I am not suprised in the least to see it looking so good.
-
Cool stuff! I really need to rebuild my own pack, and make it a bit more accurate....
Great job, though, Bama!
-
Have fun, boyos... Can't make it all the way to DragonCon, but SWC3 is a sure fire thing. Three year anniversary of my proposal to my lovely wife, "The Admiral".
-
I just have a nice dirty white pauldron. No patches or other "non-canon" items on it for me. I own a spare black pauldron as well, but I've only worn it once for the Spike TV Video Game awards. Great people, horrible TV program though.
-
Well, my pauldron is white, which is the rank of Sergeant, and throughout my life that's pretty much what I've been in all walks of life. I'm not the "Leader", but I've always been quite comfortable as a grunt in charge of other grunts.
-
I honestly can't remember how I got it to display as my signature, but there are settings for it on here somewhere.
-
Nice indeed!
I really like the weathering job, as well as the construction.
-
Good news! I found a disc with a bunch of photos of the parts before assembly, as well as a few putting the pack together, so I'm a step closer to getting a tutorial done!
-
13 has always been my number. My hockey jersey number, the rental key tag on my keyring, my SCA fighter's authorization card number, etc etc.
Plus, I figure if I go ahead and take the "jinx" number, someone else won't have to suffer with all the bad luck.
oh yeah....I also own a black cat, so that superstition's hooey too.
-
I still need a damned ab plate and knee plate.
And I'm the XO fer christ sake. Yoikes.
-
Boo-Ya!
These are all great, brada!
-
Yeah...You'd think with two saddle horns I'd be able to hang on, but with the prod, the BFG, the monoculars....You get the idea.
-
Heyas, gang,
About two months ago my computer completely died, so I've been out of the game until now. But I am back online, so if anyone could drop me a line and bring me up to speed (Yes, I'm looking at you, Joe!), it'd be appreciated.
Thanks
-
Not yet, but I should be putting one together the next time I build a pacvk, which shouldn't be too long.
-
Looks good, Chris. Thanks for all the hard work!
Trooper Exhaustion
in The Barracks

Nope, and I troop in the burning, Arizona sun. The trick is to constantly drink water, and pop a couple Ibprofins before I troop. This helps premptively kill the usual "helmet headache". I learned this trick during my 13 year stint in the SCA. (Medieval combat)
The water is the important part though. Drink even if you're not thirsty!
