Ok guys, I give up. I knew when I started this thread that I was going to get a fair beating You might be right about the weathering and you proberly are. Just as a former Danish Marine sgt, the weatering looks more to me as my recruits trying to camo themselves And Dutchy thx about the hint about the pictures. Can't wait to see my armor and put it on. I saw a large number of manta's when diving near a reaf today, it was so cool. Just love Sharm el Sheik. But a bit strange celebrating christmas down here.

Why do the pictures that I post get reduced so much?

Jep they do have the drop boxes, but as madphisto.net has so nicely said these pic are from the SE version, I actually didn't notice until he said it, I got the pictures from "Looksirdroids" so I naturally thougt they would be of "true" sandies, and I only used this picture to point out my idea of the dirt being camo instead of just dirt. madphisto.net I dont agree with you that it's useless, and they have covered there hole armor, look at theese pic, it would be **** near impossible to get this dirty unless it's done deliberate, I've been to egypt a few times never have i seen dirt stick to something like this, and once again I know this is a dangerous topic, But tatooine is controlled by the Hutt's, and the empire has no presence there. therefore the sandies in ANH must come straight from Vaders cruiser, (better equiped, but still straight from Vader) and therefor wouldn't have been long time enough in the dessert to become that dirty, and all the troopers look like this even the once in Mos Eisly city. Doesn't make any sence to me if this isn't some sort of camo.

It has always been my oppinion that thet sandtroopers wasn't dirty because they didn't have time to clean up, but because they choose to. A pearly white armor is to easaly spotted in a dessert terain, and in some scenes the dirt looks more like put on by hand. Only mud would stick to a armor, in big spots that many of the troopers have and Tatooine is pure dessert. Have a look at the two troopers to the right, their patterns look more like deliberate smudgeing, like a real life soldier would do to camouflage himself. Ideas?? I think it is so cool that the 501st do so many charities, and specially when it's something with kids. I my self have had cancer in the family so I know how alone you feel and how much it means to the kids to get a experience like this. So keep on the good work and I'm looking forward to join you guys soon in Dutchys armor.

**** they are expensive 420 $ for a pack. that doesn't even look good. 295 $ for a T21 kit, I got mine for 110 $ with everything needed, even asemble and paint instructions.

Thx everyone, I realy apriciate all your help, my membership of 501st, NG and Mepd will have to wait a bit, because I after a lot of PM'ing with TD-252 have desided to cancel my order on the FX armor, and go for another model. I have narrowed it down to either TE2 or TM but I want to be sure what to get before plunging into it this time as i did with the fx. (don't belive all you read on the internet) a wise man once said So now I have desided o let my eyes deside and not just read about the armor maker who says he has the best Hopefully I will soon be able to join, I can't wait. Yes they might be cheaper, but they are also ready to waer straight out of the box, and I aint that experianced working with plastic, so the deal that I can order and then put on realy talks to me, also because I dont have a lot of sparetime to work on trimming armor and bucket, I work 50-60 hours a week and also would like to have some time with my daughter and wife. Instead of standing in my garage. And all the other buckets that I have looked at needs a lot of work. That is why I'll go for the sds I might be paying double but I can start wearing it or start the weathering as soon as I get it.

Thx Billhag, I will do that, I just figured out that I need to use at least 245 £ more before I can join the mepd. cause I bought a complete fx armor and mepd dont alow fx buckets, so I'll go for the sds batle spec. And then maybe later I'll go for their armor to. But **** 999 £ thats a full month pay.

Hi all, I'm going strait for the sandtrooper and I am done with my E11 already in the making of my T21 and just bought the main boxes for my pack but I stil need the radio and the litle white tip for the tube, any one know where I can get this?? Sandies rule
