  1. So am I good for deployment?

-Ap armor w/ FX biceps, shoulders, forearms, cloth straps on shoulders

-helmet has hand painted details with no stripes, stomper's hovis w/ speakers, green flat welding shield for lenses

    -correct ab details, knee plate

    -mp40 pouches

    -fieldpack from Slavefive

-Hyperfirm MG34 with t-track wired in correct sequence to the barrel, thumb greeblie, metal box

I plan on getting a set of the Sci-fire mag pouches when they become available.

Haven't heard back from my 501st guy in Sacramento yet on TD status. Can't see why I wouldn't get it.

  2. Excellent work! I was just about to comment on the same pics over on MySpace.

Thanks. My wife (who hates StarWars) gave me 30 mintues (includes dressing) of undivided attention to take the pictures. I went out with the camera and tried to spy how I wanted them done. I know your picts were shot upward, so I tried to get her to match them, as much as possible. She actually fixed my helmet when it was crooked. I took the entire 30 mintues.

I submitted to our 501st approval guy. I don't know the official titles. Is that going to hold me up, he usually takes a couple days to get back to me.

  3. I finished it, but it won't have any knurling on the handle. It needed to be steel, and I thought I might have trouble with tools that are "hardened." I had to cut the back off the tube, it was too thick and stuck out past the edge. I used studs from my stud gun for the "rivets" or whatever they are. I drilled and sank a stack of 2 earth magnets into the body. They sit in a puddle of CA glue then I used the really thin CA glue to absorb aoround them before kicking them off with accelerator. Not super accurate, but good enough for me. It kept me busy for a few hours, which means I wasn't snacking and getting fatter. :P

  4. Thanks guys. All those pics are great. My plan so far: I have 1/2" square tubing. This will fit in the existing recessed area. I got 3/4" round steel tubing for the handle. Once I study the pics and figure out how I'm going to make it, I'll cut it up and get it welded together. My idea, as of now, is to set round rare earth magnets down into the gun inside the channel. The assembly will be metal and will stick to the magnets. This will allow it to be removable for travel. As of this moment it's an idea. I'm going to hit the garage and try to get this done.

    Thanks for ter pictures.

  5. Here's some pictures of my Hyperfirm DLT-19 conversion. I used T-track from Smitty at FISD. I drilled some small holes in the vents to correctly wire the bottom tracks to the vents. I drilled small holes and CA glued the wire in the vent hole. Gave it a watered down wash of rust color. Then hit the silver sccents with some rub-n-buff, after wiping the majority off my finger. I folowed the Braks Buddy t-track placement tutorial. The wire gauge might be a little off, but it's what I had in the garage.

  6. I have an update. I see the light at the end of the tunnel. I got this field pack from slavefive. I separated the radio box and put the radioshack amp with i-pod shuffle playing the random radio traffic loop that was posted here at MEPD. I drilled the holes and covered the inside with grill cloth. I love it, it the coolest. Bountyone and I will have this playing at Wondercon. Waiting on my T-track to arrive to finish the DLT conversion a and I'm rerady for pics and deployment request. These ammo pouches will have to do for now. They are black, but the flash makes them look lighter.
