  1. Isn't there a rumor that TD's were supposed to be included in the Endor scenes in RotJ?
  2. Definatly go as wide on the strap as you can. A clasp that attaches the straps at the chest will really help too. You can get seat belt pads that just wrap and velcro onto the strap- but they will be bulky. I am going to use alice pack straps on my new pack- got them at the Army/Navy for $12.
  3. Ha! Now I have the image of a TD stuck in one of those little photomat booths, looking through people's holiday snaps, and spilling blue ICEE on them.
  4. Just wondering when the next batch of deployed pics is going to be done...
  5. My belt is canvas, and is 3 layers- although mine comes fully around the body and attaches to the abs belt in front- no canon, but easier. I have 2 inch nylon webbing with snaps attached to where I hang my pouches- so they can be taken off, but the webbing is hidden. Unfortunatly, I did my belt after my camera died, so no pics. I really like it though.
  6. How about the answer I give when asked why my armor is ditry and other's have clean armor- I work for a living.
  7. LMAO!!!! When you figure it out, tell me what you said! I'd say 'me too' but even that probably wouldn't help.
  8. Thanks, dudes! Well, sort of taken care of- but I know what I need to do and have started on it already. Here's a video of us in the parade with the Rocky Mountain Fan Force. You can see me in the back, on the right- trying to keep my helmet on... heh... It's a bit of a wait to download. http://homepage.mac.com/anrev/.Movies/s ... elarge.mov
  9. Here it is- my first troop in TD. I need to apply for the 501st, then I'll request deployment here, but I wanted to show off. My armor is actually dirtier than the pics make it out to be too. That kind of blows...
  10. Yeah, I'm right there with you. I have a chest strap that holds the shoulder straps together, but I didn't attach it because I was having bucket issues- it pulls the pack further up my back- I finally did get it connected and that helped, but it was still a nightmare.
  11. Is that normal? Heh... I wore my pack for my first troop on Saturday and I was in it for over 5 hours. I think that my straps may be too thin- I'm using 1 inch webbing. Has anyone found that they have less issues with thicker straps? I have some 2 inch webbing sitting around- was just too pressed to swap it out.
  12. Heh... I just taped my lenses in... last night. I will be trooping my TD for the first time on Saturday and ran out of time, and honestly- patience. I'll try hot glue though.
  13. The Colorado and Denver flags RULE! Not that add's anything to the discussion, but... yeah... never mind.
  14. Yeah, but it's 139 Canadian! What is that in real money, about $23.95? I kid. I'm a kidder.
  15. Here's the system I'm working on. It seems to be working pretty well, but have not trooped in it, so...
  16. I'm using tempra paints. I have done a full layer of black, and let it dry and done a wipe down, and have applied a less full layer of brown. The chest piece has been my gauge, and it's had black, brown, a reddish brown, another brown and a sandy color. I wish my camera was working, cause I could really use some learned critisism
