Got the stock sanded down.
Still needs more sanding. alot of bad spots!
Over the past two days got the styrene sides and vents done.
Its starting to come along a little now. But still long way to go!! Just trying to walk in the footsteps of a Panda! Terry your build is great! Hope I can do as half as good a job as you did.
Will be getting to the part I hate the most, BONDO!! I've never had any luck with getting it right! Either too much hardner, or too little.
Question: Where can someone get the gunmetal metallic paint in a rattle can??

I seen RT-Mod Has re-styled his lid. Anyone have it?

AM kit comes with an original FX lid with a reshaped dome. Is this ok for being deployed? I know there was problems in the past with the original FX lid, something about being oversized? What's your thoughts? Should I go with a different brand? Got a big sized melon!!

Hello again.Name here is Dave, I joined back in middle of '08, but haven't been on at all since. Am awaiting legion approvel for my officers kit as I write. So hopefully soon I'll be 501st offical!!! Will now turn my sites to a TD!! Have started a Doopy's pipe build E-11. Have been reading and re-reading Panda's pack and T-21 builds. Will be getting stuff slowly to start building these. But the SLOW part will be saving for my Rt-mod kit. Was wondering if those are ok for deployment?
Will probably have some stuff done by fall. But as it has effected most, times are tight now!! Work has slowed down and prices are going up. So I'll be here for a long while before I get my kit.
I was inspired by Jester's TD at MidSouthCon,last weekend so this is what I'm shooting for!!

I ordered the resin pipe kit from them. got two quick email then one on the 14th said it was dispatched. has been two weeks and three emails and finaly got a response yesterday. that it may be held up in customs. Still waiting!!!!

You might want to consider RT as well if you have a little spare budget. It's a bit bigger and a bit more accurate looking.
While I have my thoughts on this, I'd be curious to hear yours after you do the comparison.
Where can I get some pics and info.

I am 6' 0" and weigh 265. It's mostly in the abs. I told my son that instead of having six-pack abs, that I got the whole keg! I have a belly but i'm also broad shoulderd. Looking to get FX Lite armor. Any coments on the matter would help.

Hello all! Just joined the boards. Looking at making sandtrooper. Lots of info to digest. I know detail is key here but any hook-ups on how to do it cheap is good. Like everybody else money is getting tighter. Hope to see some of you at events soon. Will be on the boards often.
